Talksport

Just heard what the problem is at the Rags and Liverpool (I think they mentioned Liverpool so they can avoid accusations of being obsessed with the Rags).

According to some chick this morning it's because Guardiola has there luxury that if he doesn't like a player he can drop them due to us having a great squad - and being able to spend. Mourinho and Klopp (no idea why he's been mentioned) don't have that luxury, and it may take Mourinho 3 transfer windows to get the players he wants.

So, I'm guessing that Mourinho didn't want Rumpole, or Big Nose or Lord Lucan?

They mentioned that Guardiola didn't fancy Hart, so we bought another keeper.

Ah well, one excuse after another.

Boiled Bollock about to phone In dead for his breakfast show.

Sports bar tomorrow night should be comedy hour. Boiled bollock on a final written warning so he'll be in. We all know that the topic tomorrow morning will be the Nolito red card. Utd match never happened.

Funny this morning. Booked bollock playing a blinder. Ray Houghton is trying to talk about the big story but here having none of it. Straight onto Sunderland and Stoke. Houghton said what about Man City.....boiled bollock said 'what about Everton!'. Houghton manager to mention the Rags, so boiled bollock moved it onto the Leicester game and how Leicester are doing in the CL. Another smooth move onto the Championship and Newcastle and Sheffield We'd.

It's so obvious what he's up to. The big story after yesterday is the Rags losing, and the problem Mourinho has with trying to shoe horn all the big names into the starting line up, which then affects the team........oh, how it must be killing him.

The gist of Mr Houghton´s comments re City and United is that it was easier for Pep because he had less to do than JM.
Seems that completely changing the way how we play with existing players and integrating new players is somehow an easy and quick task.

He ignores the way Pep has replaced certain originally key players and seems to insist that change for the better is likely to be a slow process at United irrespective of expensive purchases.

So JM needs time whereas Pep is doing nothing more than what is expected.

I'm sure the narative before the season started was the polar opposite, or am I dreaming that ?

Exactly my point.

Pep brought change and change is notoriously difficult in any sector of business never mind football.

As you infer Andy the media saw JM´s task as simply a tweaking exercise by a world class manager and world class signings to complement a team that had not performed for its previous manager.
Whereas Pep had a culture change to make which many predicted would see some of the current star performers being replaced or moved on.

How satisfying it is to see Pep saying he needs more from his team whereas JM is playing the blame game in the media.

Yesterday pm someone on the station was trying to make excuses for Jose, but there was no escaping certain truths...

Jose's had to come in and brought a couple of signings but it will take time for them to settle and gel...Pep though already had good players in his squad.

No matter which way they squirm, it's either a case of the manager under performing or admission that their squad is no good.
Lovin' it!
