Yaya has been blagging being off ill with a migraine. That's the catalyst.Im not disagreeing with anything Pep is saying but more thinking about that this could cause unwanted media attention and distraction when we don't really need it. Say what you want behind close doors and when the player leaves say it openly but while he is at the club then I think keeping it private would have been the best course of action.
Pep actually seems quite pissed off when he is speaking about it - again understandably but Im just surprised at the timing as weren't Seluks comments a couple of weeks back...wonder why he chose now to just blurt it out (or was it calculated?) cause of something that has happened over the last few days?,

I think the clever, and subtle, part is that I'd hazard the guess that the majority of players that would have Yaya's back have already been moved on.....It's more subtle than that. You can't play that card unless you are loved and respected right across the board. If you just start playing the "I'm in charge and you can fuck off" card to everyone it backfires very quickly. It can only be used sparingly. Pep's been decent and clever enough not to make YaYa the fall guy, as someone like Mourinho would, because he's probably liked and respected by the rest of the squad. The truth is his days at the club were over the minute Pep arrived, and he's obviously playing silly beggars behind the scenes about it.
Danny Mills is on the side of the lazy arse player sitting on his arse collecting money from City? On the side of the guy making ridiculous snide remarks in the press about City? What a surprise.Just heard Danny Mills on 5Live. No prizes for guessing his take on the situation. Not been handled well....... obviously it's a player City want to get rid of, and this is our way of doing it.......Yaya had nothing to apologise for, it's his agent.
Hahahahahahahahahaha! That agent interview was brilliant. Fair play to the interviewer for exposing him.
The club have played a blinder here, getting Ya Ya out the door and getting revenge on the bigmouth agent.
The truth is YaYa was never going to be part of Pep's plans, but City have been very clever after he's been taking sick days and threatening to see out his contract and God knows what else.
Hilarious.
Nothing wrong with that excuse.Yes, Yaya should have led with the "I took Viagra last night and cant run with my boner" excuse that Mpenza once used.
SCh, these are his friends you know. It's unlikely they share the fan angst that you see here. They know the guy personally. Some might even thinks he is wrong in trying to undermine the manager, but they realize the situation. They are not going to make a go at their friend in practice over a beef between 2 grown men.
Nothing wrong with that excuse.
Absolutely. It's 1:40 into the Bournemouth post match press conference. It's very, very clear.I only heard that on the grapevine, did Pep actually say "what the fuck"?
It might be stipulated in his contract that we have to allow him to train. Unless we can just force him to train alone? Why should they have to share their facilities with the fat disrespectful lump?
I actually never looked at it that way........you make a good point!Danny Mills is on the side of the lazy arse player sitting on his arse collecting money from City? On the side of the guy making ridiculous snide remarks in the press about City? What a surprise.
That being said, you'd think he might be a bit worried about them stealing his job

Very very clever by Pep.
He's taken Yaya's safety blanket away. Pep stressed that Yaya is a good guy, then totally wiped the floor with his cunty agent. I think it's pretty clear Yaya is deemed surplus, but without falling out with the player himself he has made Yaya have to actually act and do something about his agent rather than just hide behind him.
I think I know the answer already but we'll soon find out what Yaya really thinks about this club and if he even cares about playing. Pep has made this an issue between player and agent. The club have made their stance now its over to Laurel and Hardy to sort out between them.
And to mention that the club deserve an apology as well, has pretty much ensured everyone associated with the club, especially us fans, are with Pep 100%.
His agent is right though, Pep does need to apologize to Pellegrini. What Pep has done with Sterling in just a couple of months is just down right taking the piss out of Pellgrini's coaching. Pretty poor by Pep in all honesty!
The headaches, perhaps? Only guessing.
On your wider point, I suspect it's a calculated step to push Yaya out in January. I don't believe it will backfire in PR terms. On the contrary, it could add to Pep's aura and strike a contrast with Pulinho's dithering over Rooney.
Who were the big time Charlie's you played with?I can assure you Toure is a fairly unpopular member of the squad. Toure, his agent and his behaviour will not have endeared him to his team mates.
Did you not notice Pep's wording, it was to apologise to the club first.
I have played in plenty of sides where there's been a big time Charlie who time is up.
They walk round blaming everyone else, every misplaced pass is everyone else's fault.
The moaning, the histrionics will not improve his popularity.
When the rest of the squad is working their nuts off as a team to achieve a common goal, yet there's one lumbering around with his agent spouting utter shite about their manager, their chances of success. His friends will soon fuck him right off.

I wonder if this is also influenced by Mino Cuntface suddenly chirping up about Pep recently & he's decided to fire a shot across the bow of all of them. If agents want their players at City, they can shut the fuck up.
I'm 100% behind Pep but I'm not interested in hanging Yaya. When he goes, he leaves as one of our all time greats imo.
If being an arsehole was a reason not to acknowledge a player's achievements then many of the all time greats would have to be removed from history.
Yaya is an all time great & as big part of us winning stuff as any player. Sluggo is right about that bit.
