"How do you feel" survey

Seemed a fairly pointless survey at this point of the "season". No doubt someone in the marketing team has a love of "Net Promoter Scores" (NPS) as we will be getting the survey each month. Seems someone wants to make sure the "brand" has more "promoters" than "detractors", which is the main reason for these surveys.

However it did ask one decent question...

"And what do you think is the most negative thing Manchester City has done for its fans in the past month?"

I replied
"Released the "Nike standard" home shirt - our shirt should be about the clubs identity, not the current standard issue Nike shirt that is pretty much the same as all the other Nike kits out there. I support City - not Nikes idea of a branded sports kit that is uniform for everyone they supply."

I was going to put something along the lines of "No home friendlies to allow local people, who can't afford regular matches, to attend" but the Nike standard issue shirt irked me more and our cup ticket prices are normally pretty family friendly.

Keep getting surveys every week now from city voice about beautiful football and ranking the last game, now just had a champions league one asking me what price I think games should be and where do you rank it out of the 4 competitions etc.

Just said would like to win it at least once but league titles are always more rewarding

They should ask our opinion on having to collect tickets abroad in a designated place and also why the release of the location is left to the last minute

Also why do they leave it so late to release ticket details for the away games

Excellent answer, squire! Couldn't have put it better myself.

Too much marketing stuff going on. Saw this in a shopping arcade in Boscombe today:

On the pitch, we’ve never had it so good.

Off the pitch, I feel a lot of words beginning with "Dis", the final straw being disenfranchised and disillusioned over the lack of communication regarding a potential two hour queue in Glasgow, and then reading a disappointing, ill-informed opinion that it’s a great idea to treat long serving fans like idiots.

I don't receive surveys any more since I told them I thought the club were a bunch of money grabbing twats. The survey was all about how much I'd be prepared to pay for stuff.

I can't say I'm bothered about it, as it was two or three years ago now, but I do find it odd they ask for your opinion then drop you like a stone if you don't give them the answers they really want.

It seems I've been blacklisted for giving my honest thoughts.

I work in Market Research, and your first paragraph relates to a “Price Elasticity” question, where a retailer ascertains how far it can push the price before the seller actually closes the account (as opposed to simply moaning, but staying with the brand)

In the wider context, that’s why the Premier League agreed to cap the ticket prices for away fans to £30. Nowt to do with customer satisfaction, and everything to do with empty seats appearing in away enclosures all over the country. How many teams sold out at the ETIHAD last season?

If you’ve stopped receiving surveys, it’s probably related to how you’ve answered the demographic questions on previous surveys.
If you’ve indicated that you’ve got young children you might receive more surveys about the Citystore etc, whereas a single 52 year old might be bombarded with “City in the City” package offers.

On the pitch, we've never had it so good, but we morphed from supporters to customers a long time ago.
