Horrid start to the season this. Defence is a comple shambles - Missing Cresswell , Reid and Collins have been poor and our right back situation has cost us loads .. Antonio can't play there, Byram injured and not been great - so hoping Arbeloa can fill in when he's fit. Biggest concern is the amount of players we've bought in just don't look good , yes early days but Zaza, Calleri, Tore, Nordvelt all seem average and injured Ayew. 20 million? In contrast to last couple seasons when our signings were unbelievable. This could be a long season.

I wondered how Reid was coping these days, following the vicious assault by Sergio a couple of weeks ago. Iirc, he was last seen clutching his face on the ground before he was substituted. Perhaps he has been badly traumatised, as it has obviously affected his play. It certainly seemed to be at odds to Bilic's comments immediately after the match, so it appears to be a case of delayed PTSD.
Either that or he should have been nominated for an Oscar for his performance.

Guess which theory I believe?
 
I like West ham and hope their season improves. Southampton (H), Middlesbrough (H) Palace (A) and Sunderland (H) are their next few league games. I'd like to think that they can pick up a few points with them fixtures but the way their defence are playing at the mo it looks like they might struggle.

Their next 5 league games after that lot are Everton (A) Stoke (H) Spuds (A) Scum (A) Arse (H) Dippers (A)

Pretty tough run-in heading into Christmas, especially if they are still struggling the way they are.

From watching motd, the defence of west ham is a shambles. what were they doing having every man forward for the 4th goal??? Ino they were chasing the game but still
 
I like Bilic, he's an honest bloke and as straight as a fucking die. I hope they give him time, but I can't help feeling that the dildo brothers will fuck him off if he loses the next few games.

Nothing surer Mat. The only reason the dildo bros are at West Ham is to make money. Mrs Peschisolido's contacts in the tory party got them the stadium and all that's left is the sale and the millions in the bank/
 
Previously the move by WHU to the Olympic stadium has been discussed on here , so I have been keeping an eye on Whammers attendances at their new London Stadium - today it was
Attendance:
56,864
The atmosphere was described as 'lacking' - They have lost their last 4 PL games. Wonder when those attendances will fall.
I see Liverpool got 53,018 yesterday.

Have been listening to the after match phone in on Talksport and West Ham's stadium has been slagged off by a journalist from the Sun who said it was not a football stadium in any shape or form and whilst in was a big arena it lacked the character of many grounds, quoting "If you compare it to the Etihad which is such an imposing football arena its hard to remember that it was originally an athletics stadium but with proper advanced planning including digging down to replace the running track a fantastic football ground has been created and now has been added too" Rich praise indeed. He also,quoted that he thought West Ham had sold their soul in chase of the extra revenue and the fans who loved Upton Park are now beginning to turn on the clubs owners as with the recent problems inside the ground and the lack of foresight by the owners in not ensuring the ground internally was not up to first class football standards the fans are beginning to see through all glits and glamour that surrounded it's opening.
 
I think West Hams attendance will be 56k or thereabouts all season as they sold out their season cards and have thousands on the waiting list. I think their problem will be same as us with people not turning up for games. Noticed loads of empty seats today, but they will count as filled for official attendance figures like ours.
 
Watched them today. That stadium is an absolute disaster. The distance between the dugout and the pitch must be about 50 metres. Looks dreadful.
