I honestly thought he'd turned it around but it was the same old player. As soon as you put pressure on him he panics.Plus one of the reasons we were getting battered was because Otamendi was Positionally all over the show.

He was garbage. There is nothing worth discussing in his performance. He was worryingly average last season and these last two games he has looked much the same.

not convinced by this guy at all. think we need a CB with better composure in the starting XI alongside Stones. Had Laporte signed I think Otamendi would be back up CB right now.

I don't think otamendi did imo. There were two big problems to the left and right

I'll bet Pep has told him a thousand times not to lunge in but he did. The look of panic on his face was there for all to see.
He was inconsistent today, poor first half and then good in the 2nd. I won't judge him personally today because he had Fernando in front of him and Zaba to the right. I know Stones had the same scenario but Zaba, Kolarov and Fernando were the main issues today.

He is what he is.
A player who can produce top level performances but is generally, not especially good over a typical 90 mins.
A good 4th choice cb who we can probably get away with & still win stuff, if he has to play more often, but not ideal.
A great example today & typical Otamendi, was him running under a throw in, completely misjudging he flight of the ball, & giving away a corner. Then clearing the corner, with a towering header.
That's how he was in Spain & how he is now.

He is one of the best central defenders in the world football right now, member of one of the best national teams and ffs be more grateful, hate this kind of approach.
If we are going to win titles this year, it would be otamendi in central defence who has to be playing his best football, not stones. His importance is huge for us, start watching football without hate!!
