Tesco stop selling Marmite

Unilever are trying to add on to the stuff that's made here. That's racketeering!

And as for the £ v € and holidays. Take the same amount of £s yer took last year and spend fewer €s in those EU countries. That'll 'learn' 'em to try and shaft us!
Depends what ingredients are involved and where they come from. Instead of analysing evey product and increasing everything by different amonts from 0 - 20 %. It's much easier to just increas across the board by 10%. Its what I do for my business but on a smaller scale.
As for holidays how are they shafting anybody they are charging exactly the same, not their fault the pound is in meltdown against euros and dollars.

Yep neither of them are paying the increase - we are.
Im not. I looked at the full list of products affected and it bothers me none. I didnt even know they still made Vienetta. My grandad used to feed us that shit after Sunday dinner in the 70s. And Pot Noodles are fecking poison anyway, they could be a tenner each for all I care

Have it everyday for breakfast...love the stuff and cheese n marmite toasters are to die for...still selling it in my local Aldi

Tesco wouldn't hesitate in increasing their prices if they didn't have Aldi and Lidl breathing down their necks.

Who presumably also have Unilever as a supplier breathing down their necks but they choose to deal with it in a businesslike manner and not fucking whine like a stuck pig to the media to try and play the victim. Things will never be the same as they used to be for Tesco - thank fuck.

You mean like Nissan cars?

You lift the bonnet on my Nissan ( assembled in Washington Tyne and Wear ) and just about everything is labelled " Renault" - so all the mechanical bits are imported from the EU for assembly here.

I had a dog of a Ford previously. People say " oh you went for a Nissan for Japanese reliability ". Love to point out my "Japanese " car is knocked together by Mackems out of French parts. Very Japanese !

I would have thought that the anti-UK stance within the EU re negotiations is not exactly helping the pound. The shafting I refer to is not from little hoteliers on the Costa Whatnot but the shysters in Brussels!

Whenever I go on holiday, usually in Europe, I always cash some money into Euros before I leave and bring them back for the next trip. The 300 Euros I bought in May at 1.32 to the pound are looking quite healthy at the moment. Mind you, I'll still have to spend them when I go to Fuerteventura in November. I go the day after the home Barcelona match ( had to check the fixture list before booking).

We do much the same thing. I have a few left from the last excursion to SWFrance. The amount we spend re £-€ exchange rate means that with any variation historically and temporarily amounts to a few pence.

Funny how a vote to leave the EU seems to be benefitting the German discounters. Surely they'll all have to leave once we've taken back control of our borders?

Is that true ?

Surely with the Euro stronger and them selling in Sterling at the same price their exports to UK are now less lucrative ?
Just as our exports are now aided by the lower pound then Mercedes, Audi etc. are finding their exports costing their profit margin.
They will all be wanting to increase their prices shortly if the exchange rate continues as it is.

Which in turn indicates the importance of the UK market.

Tell you what - they say no such thing as bad publicity. This has obviously been at the forefront of my mind as for the first time in ages I had Marmite on toast this morning - twats ! Fell right into their trap did,t I ?
