Bad result, no other way to describe it. Dominated possession, while actually doing very little with it (in terms of clear chances. As for the penalty situation, it needs sorting out PFQ. Two penalties missed in two games so far. That's unacceptable.

Awful penalties. De Bruyne's absolutely killed us.

Was like watching Pellegrini's team AGAIN. Build up was good, but defending was shambolic for their goal and our final ball is fucking none-existent.

Feel fucking sick.

we played some decent football but when you miss two penalties you cant complain about the result

really surprised how everton played....came with a small time team attitude playing 11 men behind the ball.

Dickhead on NBC said the blueprint has now been shown to press us high up the pitch. I guess he was in the pub rather than watching the game like he was paid to do.

frustrating afternoon but on any other day we'd have been looking at a comfortable 3-1 win against a strong, organised Everton team. We were far from perfect, but at the same time it's clear to me that we are on the right track!

Very harsh on Bravo—Clichy was well beaten and out of position to help him on the near post so he had to close the angle there and force a good finish out of Lukaku (which, unfortunately, he conjured). Had he stepped even slightly more to the far post and it would have been a slide rule pass to the near post for an even easier finish.

the defender who dived in on/near the half way line was also at fault...stand up and that doesn't happen....but clichy could have done better and possibly bravo to....but Lukaku one on one takes some stopping.

We have to get use to this as a lot of teams will play like that. its a danger of possession football and pushing lots of players further forward....teams are going to hit us on the break.....Kompany Ottomendi or even stones as that last defender and they probably do better against Lukakku but one of the fullbacks will struggle against his power.

Frustrating.
A good team performance...apart from the final ball/putting the ball in the net. Missing chances is getting to be a recurring theme.
Great performance from Stekelenberg but they were poor penalties. Good to see Vinny back, Stones good as usual, Sane shat himself in a couple of tackles, Gareth Barry gone down in my estimations, Cleverley a cnut. Can't blame the ref.

Pep's comments said it all for me. He said we may struggle for top four this season, talks of extending his stay. He knows he's walked into the biggest test of his managerial career. It will take him a season and another two transfer windows to sort this all out. We won't the league unless we sort out the full backs and we need another central defender and a striker. Next season I think it will start to take shape but this season will be transformation me. Might have been pretty football but it was toothless today.

Played some fantastic football .Good tactics from pep and I don;t think he could've done anything better apart from taking long corners.
Disappointing result and feels like we lost 3 points.

Penalty training everyday for everybody. Missing two penalties is unacceptable. Especially if you consider our style of play, we will be awarded tons of penalties this season. At least one of two has to be a goal.

Everton were the worst team we have played all season, quite easily. Parked the bus for the whole game, didn't even try to play football. People go on about how Koeman's got them playing nice football- well they didn't get any done today. De Bruyne should've let Iheanacho take the penalty. Why does every team seem to save their great defensive performances for us?

Unless Liverpool thrash United we're still top.

poor decision making poor finishing(when we even bothered to shoot) effort was there, final 3rd was wank. something has to change. we missing that killer blow
