Turnstiles Broke! Massives Queues Outside The Ground

Hey I am a big boy and can handle it!
I'm sure you can. Where I sit is great and I haven't had any problems as none of the work being done affects me in any way. That said when somebody who's been going as long as Squirty says they're having grief d lie to think I can have some empathy for him and his situation and not just dismiss it because of some 'greater good'.

Think I am correct in saying you are 3rd tier east. Always find it great up there. Minimal queues for spirals, easy to get served and a bit of fresh air stood outside at half time. And not bad getting served. I do feel a bit for Squirty. He just got on my tits a bit. Love him deep down.

I queued at entrance E. Wasn't a "massive" queue(awaits 'rag' ban ; ) but the Scouse like Sergio Tacchini shell suit wearing guy held up the queue, as security probably thought he'd lobbed a few can of Fosters down his bottoms to sup later.

Enough about Squirty now.

5 mins into the game and all i could think of as there was empty seats all around me in the south stand was the fckn rags will have a field day.Was unaware of the turnstile prob.
The club should of asked for a 15 min delay at least.

I have traveled all over watching games and I've never known such lax security as there is at the etihad. I had a coat on( not the best idea the way the weather turned out) and in it I had a portable phone charger, a phone, a charger cable as well as my phones and other bits and pieces. It could have been anything in my pockets. I offered myself for a search only to be told it's ok carry on . This was entrance G at around 2.25. Not like it was last minute and they needed to rush people in but even if it was you'd expect a decent level of security

I suspect they do some profiling but would never admit it.

(Please take this as the throw away remark/joke I intend but because it is typed you can't hear the laugh in my voice) So if they are profiling; as a 75 year old woman with a bag what profile would I fit when they insisted on searching my bag, and said they wouldn't let me in if they didn't get to search it, when it was 18 minutes into the game and I had been in the queue (on and off) for 50 minutes? :-)

Slightly off topic but the half time pint seems such a big issue, for a short 15 minute break.
Usually drive to games so don't drink at games now. But even before when I'd have a pint before a game I never understood the popularity of a half time pint. 15 minutes to get from my seat queue, pay a fortune and throw it down in time for kick off, not including a toilet visit, always seemed a bit of a waste. I'd rather just stand and chat about the game for 15 minutes. If you could take a drink back to the seat I could understand it.

i couldn't believe it yesterday, the queues for P were bad but the wanker who had the 'wand' as people were going in never used it once??
So basically he was getting paid to stand there with a big stick in his hand doing fuck all!!

I didn't say they were very good at it!
