City v Boro post match

NBCSN are anti-city too celebrating their equalizer in the studio post match comments:

"Middlesborough got the equalizer they deserved"
"Middlesborough did what Barcelona couldn't"

Lets look at the match stats they say... 3 shots in the second half(5 shots total), overall possession 29%... yeah we were wasteful and it could have been avoided by putting the game to bed but sod off with "deserved" they were still outplayed for 95% of the match.

At the moment Sane isn't anywhere near the answer especially against teams that park the bus...i don't disagree on navas but Sane has done nothing to deserve a starting spot and obviously isn't doing enough in training.....he has looked pretty useless for the vast majority of his appearances despite setting up a couple of goals

Navas was the best player on the pitch.

If Aguero stopped doing his best Adebayor impression and missing 5 chances before taking one, then Navas could have had a hat trick of assists!
 
As good as Aguero, KDB and Silva are, they were not clinical enough today. It's becoming a regular thing for Kun and always has for Silva.

Bravo should have saved the goal. Clichy is still crap. 4 of the back 5 are pretty poor and Stones is a work in progress.

The subs were weird and had he not taken Navas off Friend wouldn't have been in that position to put the cross in. Bewildering from Pep today.

Pep should learn from this, Kompany should be coming on in a situation like this with Kolarov moving to LB. A team like Boro are going to do exactly what they did - throw the ball into the box.

- 0 Shots on target in the 2nd half
Given the chances, this should not have been the case. Some poor finishing.

- Started the 2nd half slowly.
Dunno whether it's tiredness, complacency or naivity but at 1-0 you have to start the 2nd half well, no matter who you play and no matter how much you dominate the 1st half.

Nothing to panic about but needs nipping in the bud.
 
Cant blame pep or bravo...if the forwards are more clinical and clichy at least jumps we piss that game..
 
Annoys me how teams can just park the bus and still get a 1-1 draw. 3 home draws in the league in a row.
 
Clichy is so average.
offer nothing upfront, and weak of defense.
easy to beat and shit in positioning.

he is never going to get better if he doesn't play, young players need game time. otherwise why spend 37m if you don't play him? Could have got decent fullback with that money.
 
I think I still get what we are trying to achieve.

However we won't win the PL this season. You can't take 3 points from 3 home games in this league.
 
That cross should have been prevented....powerfull header ................through Bravo's hands.
First half I have seen relegation sides with more conviction than 'Boro - Boring B*stards...........
 
Are we cursed against Boro or something? They're our ultimate bogey team. Despite all the changes that have taken place since, one thing hasn't changed since they beat us 1-0 without a shot on target, and Sun Jihai putting the ball in his own net!
 
Absolutely no chance of winning the league or winning anything this season. Quite clearly the club have prioritised the champions league which we won't win. If Pellers had put in these leauge performances we would be going mad. Can't be arsed checking where we could be after tomorrow's results but it won't be pretty. Top four is the target this season if we can. Sorry but this league form is shocking.
