It is very surprising that the Clinton campaign made some of the same mistakes as the 'IN' campaign did

For Bob Geldof and Lilly Allen see Lady Gaga, Katy Perry etc. Then you had the social and political elite telling everyone that disagreed with them how stupid they all were

Hilary Clinton should have spent more time getting stuck in and understanding issues than going on stage with Jennifer Lopez

As for Trump, good luck!
 
When are the French and German elections? Can see them going to the far right too. ( I know some say Trump isn't far right but he sure did pander to them.)

The same happened there as to over here, when you scare older, largely white voters they come out in their droves.

Will be interesting to see how he governs, does he keep pandering to the crazies or does he go centrist?

It certainly makes sense not to be anti Muslim Belgium learnt that lesson, jihadists are very fair to nice western countries that's for sure

Suspension of Parliament in favour of direct rule by Theresa Mao and Jackboot Johnson?
Abolition of the judiciary for having the temerity to state the law?
 
Anyone remember the scene in the film, Monsters Vs Aliens, they had two buttons in the canteen, one for coffee and the other one, next to it was Nuclear Armageddon, depending on what mood trump is in depends on which button he hits, its going be to be a bumpy ride with him at the helm that's for sure...!

We will see now that all the stuff he was spouting in the run up was bravado and bollocks. There will be no wall, mass deportations, banning of muslims or any of that shite. Looking at old footage of him he is clearly a Democrat, so maybe all this was a ruse!

I thought Reagan was a buffoon but he ended up a much-loved President. He was more of a gentleman than Trump ever would bet though, but I wouldn't be surprised that this won't be the disaster so many predicted in the last few months.

Yeah, because Trump really understands the nuance of the issues America faces on a geopolitical stage. . . A man who asked about nuclear arms with a view to using them 3 times in the space of a one hour meeting.

Everyone blames 'the elite' as if a vote for The Right (and especially a vote for Trump- the rich white man) isn't a vote for the privileged elite!
 
I think, as much as anything else, this movement to the right, as manifested by this vote and Brexit, is electorates in previously dominant western countries struggling to come to terms with the shifting sands of global economics. It simply isn't feasible or credible that Trump can resurrect once strong American industries, as much as Brexit can halt the tide of immigration into this country.

There are forces at work that no one can contain, but even so, you cannot entirely blame people for believing someone who says he's got a magic wand. People will believe anything if it presses the right buttons.
