Something to cheer you all up, Buck house facelift

Giving three examples of systems we don't have makes your reasoning redundant.
Only the UK in the top 10 economies have a King or Queen, seems business is good without them.
How much did we raise in the end for Lizard in Need? I see now why Hinckley Point is being built, to keep the reptile house warm.
Calling the lady a lizard says a lot more about you than her.

I feel your pain for a Country that makes next to sod all we seem to do alright with a Monarch, she doesn't impinge on my freedoms in any way what so ever, there again i'm not the embittered sort.

I'm talking of the sense of loyalty relating to domestic matters.

From your post I can assume you either misunderstood that or are automatically unquestionably loyal to your rulers without thinking about it. The "Loyalists" of N.Ireland and Orange Order would contradict what your say there - they celebrate the invasion of a Dutch king over a rightful British one.
Wow this thread is moving places.

Wasn't the rightful King some Saxon bloke his family slaughtered.

Thought the saxons went out of the picture over half a century before.
You'd think that, but as we're going back to a Protestant King deposing a Catholic one I thought we should go back to the previous rightful King that said suppose he nicked it off somebody else.

As SWP said, the last saxon ruler was over half a century before.

People should be loyal to their own people first, then the civilians of the world and their monarchy after that (if they have one). Otherwise your leaving yourself open to being loyal to a tyrant/general cnut which is something we as a society look down upon; that doesn't stop some applying that selectively though.

That doesn't include supporting your own people going on the offence outside of lands they have a substantial claim on.
Last Saxon King was 6 centuries earlier

Sorry that's what I meant, blame @SWP's back - I automatically read his post as being over 500 years and quoted him :) Half a millennium before I think we both meant.
Yeah I meant millennium as well.

Re read it about five times and didn't have a fucking clue what his problem was before I twigged.

To put this into context £379 million = £110k every day for the next 10 years.

Fucking criminal,

remember we are all in this together

With all those empty bedrooms, perhaps once it's been renovated she could put up a few of her homeless subjects.

Or they could get jobs and house themselves and leave those empty bedrooms for important folk who contribute to society
