I cant remember the incident yesterday but in the 2nd half, he yet again gave a ridiculous decision against us and Zabba wen off his head. Immediately the camera went to our bench where Pep was shaking his head in almost disbelief but with a smirk on his face as if to say he now knows exactly what we are up against in this country from the refs.

Madley is a shite referee, but just watched Stoke v Bournemouth highlights and East is the worst referee I have seen in my life.
That Shawcross challenge was a stone wall penalty this guy needs to be struck off.
Don't think East has reffed a City game yet this season ? You watch now he will be the ref against Burnley.
Saw that myself and quickly had to reappraise my thoughts on Madley's incompetence. By comparison he was outstanding!

To be fair they all seem to be fighting for the award of " worst referee in the PL " , and there's not a lot between them.

No doubt we are right up there for cards as well.
As you say, we dominate a game with upwards of 70% possession yet manage to be made to look like the side chasing the ball all game and resorting to kicking players.
Its farcical and at best a sad indictment on the English game and its mentality and at worst, its downright cheating and bias.

In the last 10 minutes he abdicated making any decisions at all.I thought he let a lot go on both sides to be honest
One thing that the authorities need to find a way of dealing with, is time wasting. Madeley did give their keeper the hurry up a few times at 1-1, so we can assume some of the 5 minutes was for time wasting by them (who would have been delighted with a point), but then when we take a late and deserved lead, they then get the benefit of their wasted time to try and equalise.
No idea what can be done about it, but it does my head in that a team can time waste for 45 minutes, and then when they deservedly go behind late on, they then get the benefit of their own time wasting.

rarely criticise refs but he was shit today. I not think its a case of being "bent" as some put it.....I think he is just generally shit/incompetant and far too easily fooled by players into giving wrong decisions.

Easy. Take it away from them and have game time done from he side.

He was the referee last season when we played Everton in the league at home in January. The score ended 0-0 but in the last minute Sterling was taken out by Stones in the box, and, like yesterday, he completely ignored the obvious penalty. Why does the Premier league not have the ball boys with multiple balls to keep play going.

It works in rugby okI agree that the ball needs to be in play more, but there would still have to be some protocol as to how it was done, when do you add time on, and when not ? We can't add "all" time on, as games would last hours.

Time isnt added on in rugby. The clock is stopped by the referee during playIt works in rugby ok

What works in rugby though ? You don't/can't have time wasting in rugby, not like the keeper walking from one side of his goal to the other to take a goal kick, or a player being replaced taking a minute to leave the pitch, yes you can add that time on, but if the time wasting team then go behind, why should they then benefit from it, and be given extra time to find an equaliser ?It works in rugby ok

Referees in rugby ( both formats ) absolutely control the game, and players do not take liberties with them - or are punished instantly if they are stupid enough to do so.
Football referees are shite in comparison - the contrast is so obvious, and football could benefit so much from a similar approach.
Never going to happen though , because there is far too much influence from certain clubs and parties.
