Puncheon trip on Zaba goes unpunished...

And Zaba hasn't travelled with the squad to Germany. I wonder if he's feeling the ill effects of being brutally hacked down off the ball.
It was an underhand and shithouse trip but it was not brutal by any stretch of the imagination.

Outrageous!
That would have been a sending off in ( either codes )- of Rugby, let alone football. Kun got removed from the game where we thrashed the shite for a much more innocuous infringement --- where's the agenda thread?
It may have been ten minutes in the sin bin for a trip off the ball, but there'd be no red card.

Still an absolute coward's trick though, "if you can't play properly don't play at all" with a good backhand across the face would have been what i would have responded with

The commentator at the time said the rules have recently changed and if the ref had seen it would have been a red,we all know if zabba had done it to him he would have got done

I heard that as well but thought changed to what? For me it was a professional foul worthy of a yellow card, not red.

The rules always apply differently to different clubs so it hardly matters what it changed to.

It's violent conduct, he may well have punched him the shithouse. A kick off the ball is a red.

The jug-eared crisp monger defended himself on Twitter saying was a non incident, not worthy of discussion, yet the FA saw fit to review it - as MOTD should have done. BBC SCUM

Would the jug-eared crisp muncher arrive at the same conclusion that it was not worthy of discussion had it been Stones or Ottomendi, or Sagna or Fernandinho? I think the Biased Broadcasting Canutes would have had it on a loop for the entire programme, and a poll on their website. Shitehawks!

Only a yellow, that. Some posters sound like fcukin Mourinho.
I think the point is more that if it was Sterling doing the same thing to their right back there would be uproar from the media and he would get a three match ban rather than it being a bad foul

I cannot take any credit for the following but saw it on another forum....

in other news:

“The FA have decided not to take any action against Crystal Palace’s Jason Puncheon for his off-the-ball foul on Pablo Zabaleta .
The incident was referred to the FA, as the officials failed to see it, but after reviewing the video they decided it was not an act of violent conducted by Mario Balotelli, or any other Manchester City player, which would have brought a three-match ban.”
