Anthony Taylor appointed ref for Chelsea

Hah, go on, explain how this is deluded? Tell me all about The Agenda and how it's always fucking City - and only ever City - over.
Did you actually go to the game.
Taylor fucked us over bigtime.
How many times have we had seriously bad decisions gone against us
If you don't think there's an agenda then you must be deluded.

It's not been mentioned much because of all that happened after but there was an attack on the Colin Bell side at the end of the first half where the ball looked like it went 2-3 feet out of play but the linesman never put his flag up.

I mentioned it a page or two back, it went out of play, not by 2-3 feet but it went out. The Lino was on the far end but should have spotted it. It ended up as a dangerous build up to an attack.

I don't doubt this twat was bent today, it was too obvious in so many ways, and I don't think we'd actually have won had we been on our very top game, as a way would have been found.

However, this should not deflect from a pretty awful performance from our manager (picking the wrong side, with players in roles they shouldn't be used in, compounded by some utterly bizarre subs), and some of our players being shit houses when it gets a bit tough (the football - not the battle - and its no good becoming all brave and hard in the 97th minute), so I agree totally on the bent official(s), but other things are also quite wrong with the team, and this should not be forgotten in the after match appraisal.
Spot on.

Haha not celebrating a goal because you're so paranoid. Post of the day

Sorry to everyone else, this guy wins most paranoid fan of the day, although I think today has been the most fiercely contested for a while.

Peace and love, until the next shit ref. x

You expect us to believe that the FA employs shit referees now? So they're all shit right, we our talking about the English Premier League here not the Vietnamese Premier League! Paranoia you say, go read this and come back to us with more bollocks! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Italian_football_scandal

Agree, but shouldn't that be in the post match thread. This one's for crucifying Anthony Taylor ;-)

went to the game and just watched the replay , Taylor's ineptitude was truly breathtaking its worse than Alf Grey in the league Cup Sem-Final at Anfield in 1980 , i was unfortunate enough to be in the Kop with a mate a scouser who gave me a ticket and he laughed all the way home (and to Wembley) its took over 30 years but Taylor has now got the honour of worst ref performance in a city game

My critique of the team may follow, but I need longer to calm down before I can be totally rational. I've had my say about at least one player in the performance threads, but its only 2 words, so not a great contribution.

Went to both games v Liverpool and Grey was a disgrace.
Remember him disallowing Reeves header and later on giving them a dodgy free kick from which they scored.
Still convinced Bennetts header bounced down and over the line, mind you I was in anfield road end not the kop.
Taylor did a job on us today, cheating rag bastard.

City players have got to get together and say right. Let's do whatever it takes to fk these bias arseholes over, fight fire with fire stop playing the mr fkn nice guys

What about the Assistant who couldn't see Cahill's handball from a few yards away ? Criminally bad officiating - it may be an illusion but it feels like it's getting worse.

I'm a long standing season ticket holder and go to most aways.if he ever gets appointed to one of our games again I wont be attending and urge all blues to boycott it to make the point. We thought he was bent and he proved it today.

I think that the FArce is a shit governing body so it is quite plausible that they would employ shit referees. Anybody who has seen live football over the last couple of seasons, particularly at The Etihad, would vouch for the fact that some of the referees are shit. Crappenberg gives a pen when it hits Sterling's back, in or out of the area. I don't buy the crap that it's an honest mistake. It's a mistake that at this level should not happen. You could see the reaction of anybody round the ball. The only person in the ground who saw a pen there was Crapps! He's supposed to be the best referee we have. I think the only reason he gets that accolade is because he isn't as shit at the shitehawk we had today, or Marriner last time out at The Etihad. Too many of the decisions are just bizarre! And given another half of football time, the bizarre decision of the first half is mysteriously reversed in the second half! Is there another sport in the country where the officials are regarded as just 'shit'! I think not!

Pep is too soft when commenting on ref's as was Pellers before him.
Can you imagine Maureen or Fergie allowing that performance go without a rant? Alright they got a censure or fine but the ref's performance is put under the spotlight and the next ref knows he won't get away unnoticed with the kind of shit we saw today.
Today the ref knew that the pull back by Luis on Aguero was a foul but realised if he awarded it he would have to send Luis off so he bottled it. He actually had an 'excuse' to cop out of the red because Pedro was close to the challenge and was chasing back so he could have booked Luis and given a yellow on the basis that Luis was not the last defender. However he didn't see this nuance on the situation because otherwise he would have used it to his advantage. He simply didn't want to give the foul and the red card it merited. No mention by Pep in his post match interview.
Go back to December last year when we played Everton at the Etihad. In the dying seconds John Stones ( then of Everton) slides stupidly into Sterling in the box. Sterling was going nowhere but it was an obvious penalty , albeit a stupid one. However because there are only seconds left and there was no goal scoring opportunity Roger East made a sympathy decision in favour of Everton and waved away the penalty. Not much protest post match by City.
Anyone remember the Leicester game at the Etihad last season? First off there was a foul on Zab on the line of the penalty area given incorrectly as a foul outside the box when the rule states it is a penalty..The ref and linesman could be forgiven for that but then later in an incident that virtually got no attention Fernandinho burst into the penalty area lost control but before the ball went out for a goal kick he got a blatant shoulder charge from a Leicester defender which sent him crashing to the ground. A needless and stupid foul but nevertheless a foul and therefore a penalty. Totally ignored by the ref as it would have been 'harsh' on Leicester. No mention post match by Pellegrini on either penalty incident.
I could go on but there's a pattern here. Ref's get no grief from City when they screw up against us and hence they feel free to be 'sympathetic' to the opposition in the event of these types of crucial decisions.

I think the Leicester games was also a certain 'Mr' Taylor who was in charge.

No problems. Was only joking, hence the wink.

Remember the reeves "goal" perfect header , no one near him , onside , and Bennets goal off the bar was nearly a foot over the line , Scousers sat near me couldnt stop laughing ,like today we played them off the park. Glad it only happens every 30 years though :)

I do wonder how much will be in the brown envelope that Taylor will receive on Monday - post marked Stamford Bridge.
