I'd gladly give him my ticket for tonight.

I can fully understand it I mean taking his 3 young kids hes clearly going go to the game with the sole intention of kicking off but seriously whilst I appreciate rules are rules use some common sense. This snippet was in another article

The Glasgow club has an official allocation of 2,700 tickets plus others in VIP areas for the match at the Etihad stadium.'

So basically whilst they don't want Scots in the home end there happy to turn a blind eye if they pay top dollar.

This is exactly what is wrong with football these days your average Joe has no rights whereas they are happy to bend over to Mr moneybags

City declined to comment on the individual case.

But a source said the rules had been put in place on the advice of police and the authorities and had to be enforced to ensure for safety of other supporters.

And there in a nutshell is why football will die in this country eventually. It has ceased being spontaneous and fun and is just another chore now which becomes too much trouble to bother.

I think there could be a lot of trouble tonight going by the state of some Celtic fans already.
Train down was surprisingly quiet but for some reason all the morons are on the trams.
While waiting for one I have witnessed glass tumblers getting smashed and IRA chanting.
God knows what they will be like at kick off time.

I think that this is a bit of a strange one. A, why does he have no purchase history and B, why could he then buy a ticket online at all?
And, C, why go to the paper about it when he says his Son is such a big fan making the club he's a big fan of look bad?

Wouldn't worry about that mate although we love to get pished, Celtic fans collectively aren't trouble makers, so if anything were to start it would be quickly stamped out by other Celtic fans.

Celtic fans we met up there were sound, why did we only give them 3000 tickets if we'd give them the South stand they wouldn't be buying tickets for seats that our fans can't be arsed with.

No wonder they all die young up there - just walked past a pub full of them and it just smelt of alchoholics.

Or it could be that fans coming at the last minute might be due to traffic problems? Remember it is 3 weeks before Christmas, Manchester has the Christmas markets, late night shopping and people trying to get home from work. Just trying to put some perspective in there.

I'd say they're less likely to boot off though.

They have to offer VIP seats in the home end as that is a UEFA stipulation

Been in town all day, met plenty of great Celtic fans, all going to the game, yet to meet one whose got a ticket in the away end

These boys are all ok now but the majority are now 8 pints to the good and i can't see them being on their best behaviour

Fucking joke.

When the lights on their phones were lit up nearly 50% of the ground were doing it. That's Celtic fans plus probably some who didn't do it and managed to restrain themselves!

Absolute joke that that many managed to get into the ground. The 'strict' security measures were a joke and all.
