Celtic game - strict security measures announced (page 34)

The stewards have no bollocks between them. Celtic fan on the first row of the Colin bell jumping up and down waving a Celtic scarf. Steward sat right infront of him and didn't do a thing.

Tosspots. Only do something when 4-5 Mr. Policeman turns up.

so was there any real mither? all we saw from were we sit some scarfs being thrown about was all you could see, near us a couple of people trying to have a family of Celtic fans thrown out and 2 city fans having a scrap
Kicked off in 105 and people were coming over from 106-107 to have a go. A few Celtic fans left, one got chucked out. Stewards didn't have a clue or didn't care, they were nowhere to be seen.

They were goading City fans when they scored and when our goal was disallowed. What did they expect to happen?

Loads of Celtic in city areas. 'Strict' security measures went exactly as I predicted, i.e. a load of bollocks.

I'm not against mixing fans, what I am against is City fans being goaded by knobs, and then stewards throw out/warn the City fans. And also if we were to 'invade' a home end on a similar scale, we'd get a UEFA ban/fine/deduction

A couple of studenty Celtic fans deliberately clapping the UEFA National Anthem in 219 whilst laughing amongst themselves.
To be fair, some older City fans basically told them to sit down and shut the fuck up.
All's well that ends well (sort of)

In the queue to get in at P1/2 there was one in front of me and when they scored he started cheering and shouting Celtic and the Showsec guy ignored him at first but then the Celtic bloke carried on and a few people said get him out of the queue and he was moved on, but apparently he just walked to the back of the queue and started queuing again!!

The reason I wasn't in the ground and missed both goals was because of the traffic and a coach driver who decided to go through the centre of Manchester instead of our usual way. The most it usually takes us is 45/50 mins, tonight it took 1hr 20 minutes!!! Then of course the queues at the turnstiles. C'est la vie.

Exactamundo. It's our ground and city fans are being warned for their behaviour when opposition fans are goading them.
Biggest load of bollocks I've ever seen, never mind all you have to do is flash your card or ticket to a steward and let's you in!

Who goes in the wrong end in a rival scarf and starts giving it some? It's plain disrespectful. I'd rather not go if that was me.

Our anger should be directed at City security and ticket office management whose poor measures allowed them in to the ground. It ruined any attempt at an atmosphere.
One of the reasons I've given up attending CL games.

I'm not sitting with gobby away fans or selfie taking tourists watching a compy that I feel is bent. I've missed more CL games in the last 2 seasons than I have home games in all compys in 20 years I didn't take the decision lightky
