People cheering when Bravo caught the ball

Well then plain wrong I must be. I was a keeper for 22 years at both junior and senior level and can say it's easy to cast assertions on a keeper for a goal without knowledge, understanding the roll or being privy to the pace, speed and bend of the ball. I have watched and re-watched every performance (yes I'm sad) and I can point to 2 incidents that he could be culpable, factor in language, a new, strange team, with shit defending, a new country and different type of football then through 18 games this potential error average is far better than most. Hart I liked as well but to think Joe was flawless and needs to come back is wrong, he had far more feck ups than Bravo and had a suspect left side. Regardless of the disagreement in performances the verbal abuse and venum aimed toward him is counterproductive to not only his confidence but to that of the entire team and in my eyes is totally anti City

I know all of Joes faults and similarly I know football well enough that the keeper was in a poor position for Williams goal or his pass at Barca was poor as was his handling at Old Trafford.

We could discuss the merits of both keepers all night and I was not a huge Joe Hart fan for some of the reasons you posted and I completey agree about criticism by blues on social media, in the ground etc.

What I cannot agree with on is how you have demonised fans, tried to stifle an opinion by pulling out the influenced by the media as if anyone who has a differing opinion to you is some lemming without the intelligence to form an individual opinion. Sadly it is one of the worst aspects of the forum

There's a huge difference between expressing an opinion on here, which you and others do constantly, and undermining a player publicly. I think that even those of us who back Bravo accept he didn't do as well as he might have done for the 2nd & 3rd Chelsea. But he's been competent in most other things he's done. Stones was more at fault for the rags' goal than Bravo was and if Silva hadn't wandered away from King at Leicester then he probably wouldn't have got the time to get a shot in for the second goal.

I'm not convinced by Bravo, and wish we'd get Joe back, but there's absolutely no excuse for being sarcastic to him at the game, that's fucking out of order. When a guy is on the pitch wearing City colours he deserves our full support. No exceptions, no excuses. We get behind our own.

I am aware there is a huge difference, hence in both posts on the subject I have agreed that the slating of a player at the ground is not to my taste.

We all express an opinion on here, including you. If we didn't it would be pretty pointless posting. But people, in my opinion, should not be accused of being rags, wums, influenced by the media just because it is not a view reflected by others. All it does is close down debate.

As for your points about Stones, King you may have noticed I said "culpable along with others". I also do not think he is the worst keeper I have ever seen, but is part of a defence which looks very brittle.

Find a brick wall and bang your head against it, would be as much use and probably more economical

100% correct. Decision has been made - I've criticised SOME of his performances on here, but end of the day he's a City player. Never boo a blue, or take the piss!!

Not convinced myself at the minute, but I'm hoping he turns it around.
Think there is an element of our support who thought that when Pep was announced,we'd never lose again!

The thread has deteriorated to a new level, just like the verbal abuse. Comments by fans that Bravo should've saved this and that and was at fault for whatever are testimony to the power of the rag based media. They are rubbish assumptions and are prolonged by the Joe Hart fan club. Apart from the Derby mix up with stones Bravo has been at fault for nothing, however haters will always hate and see what they want to see. I expect it from rag filth but am embarrassed when so called City fans jeer their keeper and rant on antagonistic radio phone ins and tweet for repeat column inches in papers and social media to discredit our players and club. How can anyone who loves their team behave like that's? God knows there's enough filth out there to do it without our own so called fans. FFS support your team on the pitch and focus your abuse on the opposition, not our own. I must say I'm as saddened by some elements of our current support as I have ever been following City for close on 50 years.
Quite a strange post.

It all happened so quickly on Wed night with the save from Bravo and then the Watford player kicking the ball whilst in an offside position and the linesman putting up his flag for offside, but when I heard the cheer go up, I honestly thought it was for a decision going our way after the continual fouling by various Watford players, professionalism by them and the blatant slowing the game down. Call me niave but I didn't correlate Bravos save with the cheer. Maybe I'm wrong. There were some lads near me in SS3 who broke out into the Joe Hart song in the second half. I liked Joe,been here since before the takeover, but he doesn't seem to do it for Pep and he knows more about football than me,so I miss Joe,but life moves on and will give my full support to anyone who plays for City. I can't see Joe ever playing for us again so we need to let it go. To me it's like keeping a picture of your "ex" on your phone or mantlepiece and reminiscing about what once was. When Zaba scored on Wed I was made up. He is my hero,so much so I named my 6 year old Staffy after him. My grandson was smiling at me when he'd scored as he knows he's my favourite current player. My grandson asked me who's my least favourite current City player. I said I don't have one, because I would always get behind and support a player for my club. I did add I have a few ex-players I dislike who once they've left seem to like nothing better than to belittle my club.

I went to an Andy Morrison book-signing a couple of years ago, and asked about the abuse for Edghill, after his own goal against Coventry in 2000 (probably the most shameful, vitriolic attack I’ve ever witnessed by the fans of any team towards one of its own players)

Morrison replied that Edghill needed to be substituted at half time because the abuse had got to him.

He also mentioned the Friday night game when Huddersfield won at Maine Road. Apparently, in his pre match team talk the Huddersfield Manager had mentioned that it wouldn’t take much for the City fans to turn on their own team.

Ir probably happens at other clubs, but I’m only interested in one club. It’s wrong, and it’s counter productive.

The ironic cheer was in the first half pal, a Watford player had a shot from far out, mishit it and Bravo caught it, that's when the cheer occurred.

One or two players have disgusted me with their attitudes but Bravo is not one of them. I went to Malaga v Barca last season and Bravo had a stormer for the visitors.

I'll be well happy if he has a stormer for us on Sunday got a feeling he may have to.
