Burnley - Post match thread

IT was easy to give the red, it was like he could not decide which foot to go with so went with both. Refs love giving those, he will score well for it. The SIlva trip was the worst of the decisions which the lino would not give near the. A good come back but made to sweat by a dodgy keeper.

Being sent to 10 actually aided us, no-one was taking a player on really until numbers forced us to. Ref was a joke, pretty sure I saw a Burnley player go two footed through the back of our player and got nowt!

Really important 3 points and a much better 2nd half. Fern tackle looked bad and I thought red straight away, but the ref was a total arse the whole game. Serg looked sharp and made a huge difference. Didn't get a good view of their goal from the SS but doesn't sound great.

In his interview I think Pep stated that rules in the PL are interpreted differently than anywhere else in the World.
He could have said that in the same game the rules are interpreted differently for City and the opposing team but he would have been taken to task for that.

I wonder if he could still have problems if the FA take exception to his global comparison of their rule interpretation ?

Still can't work out whether Mason was following instructions via his ear piece or actually made his own mind up for some of those decisions. I can't believe he gave Ferny a red, yellow at best. Missed countless pushes on Oti and Kola and the foul on Bravo for the goal. Corrupt, shit or both?
He was taking instructions from someone outside the game , when our first goal went in he was pressing his ear piece hoping for an excuse to disallow it, when they scored he made no attempt to get a second opinion , it's beyond corrupt

A hard fought win.
Not a game where management was much of a factor.
Appalling refereeing, but what's new? He did get the red right.
Iheancho wasteful and gready - a contraditory combination.
Sterling - f@cking hell!

Just back from the game. Happy with the win but boy do we make hard work of it. Atmosphere is no existent, the football at times is turgid.

There seems to be something seriously wrong at the moment and just seen that Pep interview and he seems to be losing it

I thought the Atmosphere was good, especially 2nd half.

I hope Fernando is up to the task now Ferni is out.
Nacho has blown his chances I starting again IMO. he needs to put those opportunities away if he's wanting the top spot. Mildly surprise by YAYA and how he's a revitalised player, still slow but his presence must be good for the players. Magic Dave pullin the strings when he came on. Razza will not want to see himself kickin the ground when clean through on goal and making it look like a foul.

That cnut BBC reporter needs a slap. Pep should decline interviews with those twats.
Bravo was poor yet again, can't get off the floor and claim balls into the box.
If the referee needs assistance from the 4th official, then he shouldn't be taking charge of the game.

We've never had a goalkeeper who can claim balls going into the box but if he wasn't fouled for the goal, then it's not good good enough.

Fantastic win.

I didn't think the defence was bad today tbh. That kind of utter fucking shite thugball with a bent ref, leads to mistakes. Other clubs get protected from it by the ref. We get handicapped with random inconsistent reffing.

All this bollocks about it being a mistake dropping Aguero.

BOLLOCKS IT WAS. He was fired up to fuck when he came on & won us the game you fucking pillocks. ( not you btw)

Regardless of whether Fernandinho should have been sent off, or not, and I think it was harsh, Mason was a FUCKING DISGRACE.
Before the sending off, the moment a City player was fouled yet the ball was passed through to Navas for a probable one on one with their keeper, Mason saw it was bad for Burnley and blew for a foul on the City player. He waited so long to blow for the foul. A classic sign of bent refereeing.
So many other instances too.the taking out of Silva on the goal line in the second half being the worse.
Dreadful.
Good performance by City post sending off. Gutsy Display. Good goal by Clichy and an amazing goal by Aguero.

Bang on about Aguero.
Any striker throughout tbe Leagues would have stuck one of Iheanacho's chances away. Bad day for the lad and one which could cost him.

Did anybody see the masterclass by the Burnley defender on how to trip a player, this time it was Silva's turn to be legged! Well, at the last count everybody in 323 saw it, and Mason saw it along with his lino! Why was it not given? And then the Bolton shithouse seemed to berate Silva for staying on the pitch!. More crooked than a corkscrew is Mason.

Meanwhile rags benefit from dubious sensing off and an offside goal

I wish I had twitter so I could abuse these thick twats but our Orwellian government seem to love arresting people for hurting people's feelings online.
