Burnley - Post match thread

Very pleased to get the three points after going down to ten after 30 minutes.

Pep got it bang on with his subs, let's build on this now.

Taylor in the Chelsea game was worse than Mason, everyone is outraged today but the big decisions weren't that bad. Although I think they got away with a few that should have been yellow.

a fully deserved win........we started slowly but we got what we deserved today......Sterling Sagna Yaya Kun Clichy were all excellent

Couldn't give a damn about what Pep has done or how he has spoken to the media post match....i have zero respect for the media in this country and I fully support his attitude towards them......

I don't usually knock refs but Mason was incompetent today...the sending off was probably the only decision he got correct!

You mean you disagree?

Nope, I mean it was a load of rubbish.

Why not just say "Kolarov played well today but I'm still not convinced against top opposition?" To downplay a good performance because of the past performances of the opposition is fishing to find faults IMO.

Gray and Barnes are coming on the back off their best performance of the season so you could easily argue that they were bang in form. Likewise, we struggled to beat Burnley away and their physicality caused us a number of problems. In this game I thought that we nullified their threat despite having a man less.

I understand that Kolarov is public enemy number 1 on here but at least judge him by the same yardstick as the rest of the players.

Nobody this season, nay, this century, could ever be as bad as Taylor was in that Chelsea game. Not even Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, or Blind Pugh would make such a lash up of refereeing a game as The Alty Tit did that day! Mason was trying his best to get into the same category but he had a good bit to go to outfuck The Alty Fucker!

In horse racing terms, a short head. IMO ;-)

You judge him how you want, and I'll judge him how I want. I'm judging him based on the fact that Burnley have the worst away record in the division (one point from 30) and believe this might indicate their strikers aren't up to much; unless they've signed a couple of worldies since the window opened.

I wasn't sure at the game other than it looked a bit reckless but from what I have seen from the footage it's a red as it was reckless and he was not in control. Stupid challenge to make and totally unnecessary. They must know that unless their name is rojo then you can't make challenges like that anymore.

Cheers mate

No it isn't - I criticised him when he played poorly. Today he didn't play poorly.
It's a bit strange to want to criticise someone for a performance they put in today based on previous performances.
As I say I think some people are so entrenched in their views of Kolarov they find it hard to praise him even when it's thoroughly justified.

I'm sure you get the odd one. But like I said he put in a good solid performance today. Nothing more nothing less. Don't see it deserving of any hyperbole. But everyone is different I suppose.

Fantastic spirit shown in the second half and a fabulous win in the circumstances. Big credit to Pep for the changes at half time that changed the game for us. Still really not sure why we are playing with less intensity in the first half of games, much preferred it earlier in the season when we were coming out of the traps, getting games won and then easing off for the last 20 mins of games. I'm starting to think that Bravo's lack of height is going to be an issue in this league.
