TV Series

Finished series 2 of the man in the high castle, gutted it was nowhere near as good as the first

This looks like its going to be fantastic. From The Marvel Cinematic Universe & created by Noah Hawley who directed Fargo, it's the first live-action TV series based on an X-Men comic book and tells the story of Charles Xavier's son David Haller, a mutant whose psychiatric illness endows him with a set of incredible powers.

Feb 8th on FX

Caught up on season 3 of Sherlock over the weekend and watched 1st of season 4 yesterday. Been off sick today and watching Bloodlines

Thought Id watch the first episode of Rillington Place last night. Ended up watching all 3 and going to bed far too late, it was very good. Tim Roth plays a great part in it, and I dont usually like him. Really good watch

Just watched the OA, the ending was all very confusing, not sure if that was meant to be the case but a lot of things didnt add up to me. I think the series started well but seemed to tail off into the confused ending, rather than setting it up for more it felt botched. Maybe series 2 will sort some of the answers but I think far too much was left in the air and too many plot holes.

If she made the whole thing up, there are so many questions.

What are the scars on her back?

How did she get her sight back?

How could she read English if she went blind in Russia, so how could she read the books?

Where did she get the books from to read them when she had no internet access and started the story just after getting it?

Why was that FBI councilor in the OA's house late at night when French broke in?

Why did he see Homer in the mirror just after this?

Agree with that mate. Roth was brilliant and supper creepy.

Worth catching up if anyone hasn't seen it.

Rectify has just finished, a well written, excellently acted, character drama, which I highly recommend, not flash, a fashionable subject matter or a quick fix type of show but a slow burner, which I should imagine will be even better watched binge style.

I'm half way through the 3rd season. It's very good, different but good.
Reminds me of Bloodline a bit.

Blacklist has started again :)

Started watching something called Frequency this morning, not too bad sci fi. Based on a film from 2000 (that looks pants)

A police detective in 2016 discovers that she is able to communicate with her father via a ham radio, despite the fact that he died in 1996.

Glad you are enjoying it mate, I did say it was a slow burner, not like other things around, just a really good character based drama.

I was just on the Sundance channel website and there are a couple more on there that might be worth a look.
The Staircase, Hap and Leonard and The Last Panthers could be good just based on some of the actors in them.
