We can't register him while he's registered with another club and their season didn't finish until recently so he was registered with them until the window opened here on Jan 1st. Secondly, Palmeiras and this guy Caran, who is his former agent, are in dispute with each other over who owns this 22.5% that both claim to own. It's going through the courts in Brazil but it's not clear whether we've paid Palmeiras the 52.5% (the 30% that isn't in dispute plus the disputed 22.5%) and left them to sort it out or we aren't sure who to pay until it is sorted out.
Yes; I did read All that earlier in the thread PB. What I don't understand is that, if the club were aware of the "ownership" issues, and were still happy to go ahead with the transfer, couldn't they have been working behind the scenes to try to broker a settlement between all the parties? It's in our interest to get the problem resolved and get the lad out on the pitch PDQ.

Quite simply the most embarrassing thread on BM for a while, some of the vitriol being aimed at the club by posters who have no earthly idea of how these things proceed is pretty embarrassing really.

We haven't become one of the super elite clubs in Europe by being totally inept, grasping hands in Brazil are out of our bailiwick

Khaldoon has spoken what more do you want

What do we want?

Well firstly Al Khaldoon ’s quotes concern the player’s undoubted potential and ability, but don’t address the reason behind the delay.
In fact, considering that he doesn’t appear to have been asked a pretty obvious question, I’m not even convinced that the interview was undertaken today.

Secondly, we’ve just paid almost £30m for a player who will be 20 in April,(only a year younger than Neymar when he signed for Barcelona) and it’s by no means certain that City will finish in the Top Four. Our next two games are crucial, and his arrival was supposed to kick start the remainder of the season (or so I've been reading on many other threads)

If that’s not going to happen, then I want the club to communicate the reasons for the delay (even if they had no intention of playing him) rather than leaving us with anecdotal speculation and irrelevant twitter quotes.

They never comment on transfers so they are not going to start now as it would be foolish when we are waiting to get registration sorted,he has been training with the team so i'm sure they are enthused by him,we have a very good team as it is,putting all this pressure onto the kid is ridiculous imo

Agreed. Some too ready to throw pelters at the club without even knowing who is to blame. Quite pathetic really.

Open a newspaper? You're having a laugh right? Why would I subject myself to that?

Meanwhile, have you any examples?

Are you seriously suggesting that we get fair and reasonable comment from the press ALWAYS? Seriously???

If you are then you are a rag and I don't need to reply. If you are not, then you've answered your own question and I don't need to reply.

I see them talking bollocks mate but libellous stuff I'm not so sure.

We do call journos to task if we think they've gone to far, for example we banned Dan Roan in 2012.

Not sure why posters are so angry regarding the availability of Jesus Gabriel , Pep has said he is a young player and he will introduce him in to training and the first team playing squad in due time. Even if his registration was completed i seriously do not think he would have been involved against the bluedips or spuds , we have a couple of young very talented forwards at our disposal in Sterling and Sane and would like both of these to get game time and show improvement , quite sure Jesus will not be appearing regularly and performing to a decent level in the premier league until Easter , which would be apt.
As long as we get top four and above the Rags with a another good run in the Champs league i will be reasonably happy , Pep's influence will only really have an effect next season when he has HIS squad available , so instead of acting like a little kid in a sweet shop lets have some patience .This season was always going to be a period of transition and i have seen plenty of false dawns over the years , but this is the real deal "because we've got Guardiola" :)

I am happy to wait for Garbiel. I will say I am surprised paper work was not sorted out. They had 6 months to make sure all was in order. To blame the Brazillian side is not great. It takes two to cock things up. If City had informed them and showed them the steps needed to progress this correctly we could be playing him.
Smells like a farce to me. Of course it will all work out well. Still not great for the club the same week we get bad press about not doing things correctly re the doping agency, Thank god that looks like a fine and nothing else.

Doubt it has been an oversights

Since the Bravo thread perhaps. Not sure it tops that one though.
