General Videogame Thread

Hammering elite dangerous. Go through stages with this game where I wont play it for months but then I will binge on it for it few weeks. I can see myself doing that now until Mass Effect: Andromeda comes out in March
 
Currently playing resident evil 7 in VR.
Ive been gaming for 33 years and this is possibly the best gaming experince of my life.

Phenominal game in VR. A dream cone true.

Not got vr but the game gets your heart pounding alright. Had a hour or two on it last night while the Mrs was out with the kids. Thought I'd cheated on her when she came back going off my numb expressionless face. Great game!
 
Resident Evil 7 looks fantastic and very jumpy!! Capcom have done a great job of this and can't imagine how scary it is on VR.

I did a speed run beginning of the year! I can't believe how poorly all 3 games have aged, the dialogue is some of the worse I've ever seen in games in the last 10 years! And they haven't aged well at all either! I'm worried how very little we've been told about ME:4, I can see EA trying to get their grubby hands all over it, like they did with ME:3
 
Conan Exiles comes into alpha in a few days, looks fucking gorgeous, might pick it up cheaper on steam with it being Alpha also this looks good

 
Just had a look at Resident Evil videos after reading about it here, looks great!!

Aside from that i'm just back to say again what a mint game Witcher 3 is. I'm playing it for a second time, on top difficulty, doing every quest and not rushing....superb

Love it as I do, there is no way I am replaying it until someone comes up with a mod to replace that lot. Except Pam-Paramm, which is a timeless classic.

Finished it on New game plus also mate along with both add ons which are again very decent size add ons. Witcher 3 is defo 1 of my favourite PS4 games to date.

I can't get my head around Gwent though? Probably a good job, as I don't think the game would ever end if I pursued it all the way through....I got the real life set of Gwent cards with the expansions! Almost pointless as nobody I know knows how to play it.

Gwent was brilliant mate I studied it using videos off YouTube and after time I won every game I played. I've also got every Gwent card in the game get as many cards as possible before playing.
 
Gwent.... It's about playing as few cards as possible. First thing is to know to throw a round when you are beaten. Know when the other guy is trying to trick you into playing just one more card. If they come in high, play your low ranked 'plain' cards.

Early game, get the Foltest leader card from the innkeep in white orchard to cancel weather effects. Keep buying every card and playing every game. Early on, play Northern Realms with Foltest and a bunch of Blue Stripes Commando. Any healer card, or commanders horn is good++ as well. When you get to the city, it's about time to switch to Nilfgaard. Spies, spies and more spies. The only weakness is against monsters, who have mega, mega infantry with tonnes of reinforcements. Keep a scorch handy for them.

Unfortunately I don't have VR yet! Even without VR the graphics are amazing from what I've seen on youtube walktrhoughs.

I am still slowly progressing through Final Fantasy 15 whilst being addicted to Battlefield 1, routinely getting my Fifa fix and enjoying sessions on steep!
 
Thimbleweed Park will finally be getting released soon. I haven't been this excited about a game in a good 25 years. For me, this will piss all over the current crop of boring shooting games. From the creator of Monkey Island 1 & 2 (the proper Monkey Island games).

The artwork is so retro and refreshing to see.
