It is upsetting that he left on what seems to be bad terms with the owners
Although he was always seen as a personal friend of the Sheikh, and was hence brought in because of that (and his record), I doubt his relationship with Txiki, Khaldoon etc is great.

Point of information: He was Khaldoon's friend and it was him pissing off the Sheikh that finally confirmed his demise.

As a football manager he was magnificent. As a man-manager (both in terms of managing upwards as well as those under him) he was a disaster. He would be a great manager for West Ham, for example, but the thought of him working under Gold, Sullivan & Brady is somewhat amusing.
