That was like the most innocuous tackle and wasn't even called as a foul. ACLs can be triggered by seemingly innocuous things that cause the knee to bend more than it usually should. It's a massive shame for Rodri but to say Partey 'did him' is disingenuous.

    Yeah it was.

International Footballer arrested in Central London for assault

It is a source of regret and shame to me that the club put him on a pedestal, Arteta in particular. That being said innocent until proven guilty. But we did handle it in a very insensitive way, given the fact we have such a high % of female fans, the women's team won the CL and so on.

International Footballer arrested in Central London for assault

I thought it might be a United player but the fact the headline said 'footballer' ruled it out for me.

I think Gyokeres is aimed at battering past the weaker teams with low blocks. When Havertz is fit he'd play at City away for example but they'd play Gyokeres against Wolves, Burnley etc

He's been injured, still regaining match fitness. No issue in so far as we are top, but we've had virtually the entire forward line out at the start of the season and now it's the defence's turn. TBH the one thing that would really derail us is Rice getting an injury

    Liverpool Thread | 2025/26 | Salah fall out (p264)

I'm behind Salah here. It's clear he loves to play football but is being deprived of this opportunity. OK, he gets paid £400k a week but he has to pay tax on that, and with inflation being what it is it's hardly going to touch the sides. Particularly as when he sits on the bench he has to pay...

Yeah but that's media trying to get clicks. Anyone with half a brain could have looked at the Arsenal team playing and figured out it was a well structured side but it wasn't Messi's Barcelona team. I do think defensive injuries played a part against Villa but last I checked other teams get...

With respect this current City side bears little resemblance to the last City team that won the league. You seem very unlikely to win 10+ games on the bounce - a decent team will slice through that midfield and punish that defence. You can't outscore teams every week. I agree with previous City...

I think to be fair the fixtures have been harder for Arsenal, plus Arsenal have played 1 more away game than City but also that point against 10 man Chelsea isn't looking quite so clever now. Just need to get through the Xmas break, must play the Carabao team against Bruges midweek, beat wolves...

Tactically I can't figure out what Arteta was doing in the 1st half - at times Calafiori was inverting into a 10 position and Eze of all people was supposed to be covering back for him, but fell asleep for the Cash goal. 2nd half we started well but once we equalised we took the foot off their...

I'm just upset that we've opened the door to United to get back into the title race.

Maybe. But also we've had some difficult fixtures too, particularly the away games. Let's see at the end of the season, it's all hot air until we see what happens on the pitch.

Sure, and you can play Marmoush as striker instead of Haaland but it ain't the same! Anyway if at the start of the season you'd offered me the current PL and CL table at this stage I'd have bitten your hand off.
