That was the game that made everyone think he was going to be the new Haaland in the PL, yet most didn't take into consideration we were injury ravaged, crest-fallen and played Simpson-Pusey in that game against him, who now can't even get a game for Celtic.

The concern around Gyokeres, and most of the strikers that have done very well in Portugal, is can they translate it in a top 3 league.

Gyokeres didn't even play in a top flight European league until he was 25.

No striker should be compared to big earl he’s on a totally different level to anyone we’ve seen in this league goal scoring wise !

Yeah, that sounds good form. I look at stuff like previous 5 game form, stuff like that. How's your last 5 game form? I don't pay much attention to other teams so early in the league, you drop many points?

We're on a bit of a fluky run over the last 5 or so, or "stuff of champions" in the alternate universe where blue and red get the opposite press :)

Anyway, Rice is a great player IMO and I don't mind your overall "style" in a basic sort of "revolutionizing football" sense. You've American rugby-ed football, noice!

Special teams with little special routines.

Honestly, I think how we are viewed is overblown. Do I like when I see us going down too easily, I certainly don't, but unfortunately that's not restricted to just us. Do I think we could be more fluid at times from open play, yeah.
But as for set pieces, what should I be embarrassed about? Every team scores from set pieces, they are a massive part of scoring in the modern game. I think City have scored from set pieces 4 games in a row, whereas we haven't scored from them in 4 games.

Honestly, have you conversed with most Arsenal fans online? :-)
I think we've become a bit of a victim with the globalisation of the Premier League, in that a lot of foreign fans (although not just them) have extreme views, and different ways of conversing with people online. Our forums tend to reflect this. I'm not interested in wind ups,.or rage baiting, or the manager / team are the best in the world when they win a game or the worst in the world of they drop points.

I joined on here over a decade ago to answer specific questions that were being asked at the time about Arsenal, and stuck around since,. although I take spells not posting when I feel the natives get annoyed at other fans posting. I've taken my son to a couple of City games getting info from folk on here about getting tickets and transport etc, as coming from Scotland it's easier for me to take him to Manchester than London.

That was like the most innocuous tackle and wasn't even called as a foul. ACLs can be triggered by seemingly innocuous things that cause the knee to bend more than it usually should. It's a massive shame for Rodri but to say Partey 'did him' is disingenuous.

Since when did Partey do anything with another person's consent?
 
Are we allowed to mention how big of a flop signing Gyokeres has been yet?

He is genuinely championship level but once Arsenal supporters realised he isn’t very good at scoring goals at this level they have convinced themselves that he is contributing by creating space for their other attackers who ironically are also not scoring goals in large numbers.
