    Strictly speaking, though - they're correct :-)

Certain players make you feel that you always have a chance as long as they're on the pitch. City have a few, now - the contrast in excitement levels between this season and last is incredible.

Not having a particularly good game, then he ambles in with an assist and goal to steal the show. Having two players on the same wavelength (with Phil) is so important. Undroppable - so expect to see him on the bench at Sunderland, then :-)

Hehe - Sky+ actually. Not planned, but one genuine benefit is that there's no match thread to succumb to...

Just finished watching it, having avoided the result. Even forgetting about Nico G and Tijani's 'efforts' to get back during the attack that led to their goal, that wasn't the best performance this season, or the most eye-catching result, but that has done more to encourage me than any other...

Difficult to tell, because so many images are distorted or filtered these days, but that calf doesn't look like it's been doing much exercise lately. Unless the whole image has been stretched to make his torso appear leaner?

I wonder what those posters who love to throw the expression 'fanny-wipes' at others who reflect upon the performance - and not just the result - think about this? "But Pep - we kept a clean sheet, how dare you treat them like this?" :-)

He had plenty of time to think about missing it - didn't look like the finish of a player lacking confidence, did it?

Some sterling research, there. What's next - an effigy? :-)

    52 | Oscar Bobb - 2025/26

I really like him - always feel that he makes defenders so nervous with his quick feet, and that when he's up for it something is always likely to happen. Nevertheless, I can't see that there's any real future for him here, with so much competition up front, from other young players. For...

Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

Agree about CWC - I didn't want us anywhere near it, then once I was totally caught up in it, we did whatever it was you call that against Al-Hilal. A real let-down. I always quite fancied NOR marauding down the wing, because we've seen he can put a terrific cross in, but with Doku producing a...

Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

I know we did, but he isn't the type of player I described. Nothing like a natural defender. He was exposed in CWC and continues to be every time he plays. His appearance record perhaps suggests that he isn't considered good enough by those that matter. I thought that he looked really...

Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

Buy a natural LB with a genuine defensive instinct and that frees NOR up to move up the pitch. Like getting two for the price of one.
