Can’t get excited about this deal personally. Feels like a bit of a United-esque signing and not in a good way. A big name who’s available, rather than a player who we need or suits or style of play. On presumably crazy wages and impossible to shift if he doesn’t perform or causes issues...

Of all the players we need to offload he isn’t one. Top assister last season and looked our biggest threat from the wing against Palermo. He’s only 21 and will only get better. We should be clearing the deadwood rather than players who are contributing.
