First game of the season, away, against a top 6 contender. We'll find our groove and until then, we still look pretty damn good.

Stones and Laporte share MOTM, both immense and completely in control. We're looking at our CB pairing for many years to come, right there.

Bernardo was excellent and scored an absolute peach.

Mendy was shaky defensibly, but ends the day with two assists so ok.

Mahrez at home in a City shirt.

Not at our best but still managed to comfortably dispatch Arsenal at their ground.

Stones and Laporte were the only players near their best for the full 90.

Good start to the season with a win and now with a decent run of games coming up it's time to kick on.

Laporte man of the match, didn’t put a foot wrong. Stones amazing too and good performances from Silva, Walker and Sterling.

Aguero wasteful but had little service to be fair. Mahrez still looks like the outsider. Gundogan was absolutely terrible. Mendy wasn’t much better yet got two assists which kind of sums up the whole game - a mixed bag.

I'm a big fan of Laporte but I don't think he played one decent pass in the game and Stones was holding his hand defensively. Hopefully he'll be better than that going forward.

As others have said. Good but rusty. But it's so encouraging that in a fixture like this we were so comfortable in spite of that.

3 points is all that counts, rusty performance but it’s only the first game so it’s expected. We’re a great team aren’t we?
