Understood he’s not making the best choices, but also feel bad for him - must be maddening with the injuries and then also picking up the various triumphs and medals for club & country when he knows he missed out on really earning them. I imagine it feels a bit lonely, to be honest...so one might look for attention and connection, even subconsciously or ill-advisedly.

Been an awful buy thus far but hopefully he can get himself fit and more importantly stay fit.
He can do a job for us but i'd definitely buy another left back this summer but if we get a transfer ban then Mendy will have to stay.
He's certainly not a guaranteed starter even if he is fit though.
