What a strange rule. Maybe VAR could incorporate a similar rule for offsides, pens etc.?If less that 50% is hitting then they stay with the umpires decision

Yeah, I find it odd as well. Surely, if hawkeye shows that the ball is going on to hit the stumps, irrespective of by how much, then the batsman should be given out. I was told on here a couple of days back that it is because hawkeye is only about 99% accurate and that the benefit of the doubt should go to the batsman. Hmm.What a strange rule.
