Chelsea and Arsenal early 70’s/late 60’s.

My concerns are losing and not replacing Kompany, possibly losing Sane and the ongoing left back issue.

Are you concerned about missing Vinny on the pitch or his dressing room captain influence? I think we definitely lose his captain dressing room influence.

Bit of both really. I think it’s his all round leadership of the club both on and off the pitch that will be a big gap to plug. I think we have maybe left ourselves a bit short at CB and at LB really as can’t rely on Mendy for a full season and whilst I love Zinchenko and his attitude, we saw yesterday that he is limited against the very best players. I can see that being a problem in the CL again.

I agree. I'm hoping Stones steps up and becomes more influential on and off the pitch. This is the season he needs to kick on I think. Zinchenko isn't a specialist LB, but he's deputised well, although he has and will continue to get caught out against the best. Angelino i think will be played in lesser games to bring him on. As for Mendy, I'm concerned he'll not shake of his injury woes tbh. I wish him well but it's not looking promising for him at the moment.
