When I was in Manc recently I went into the Arndale center twice. Both times were just to cut through from the back side because it was raining.

I don’t any more, either. But it wasn’t always thus.

I think for me it is down to having finally entered the long period of your life where your style and purchasing habits are very unlikely to change much and so new products and trends are largely no longer exciting but rather an unwanted distraction (and tiring). And the act of researching your purchases is a task among many rather than an opportunity among a limited few to “express” yourself.

In short, I’m a geezer now.
