They are top of the interceptions because they press the ball higher up the pitch better than most teams in the league which leads to frequent turnovers. Rodgers is definitely not a defensive manager, They play very high up the pitch and open up very quickly in possession, both are not characteristics of a defensive philosophy.

If what you say was right then their attacking players would be the ones that win possession which it is not and their possession would be higher so would their scoring chances, they are a counter attacking team and their strength is the best defensive midfield in the country
