I don't know how many on here have had a general anesthetic, but you just submerge into the deepest sleep, there is a complete nothingness.
I imagine death is very similar.

I like a theory i heard years ago which said the soul and body are two seperate entities, the body dies but the soul moves on.

it was described as all being to do with frequencies, for example there are thousands of radio stations playing at any moment in time but you are only ever listening to one, when you die your soul moves to a different frequency.

I quite like this idea.
