Investigation in Liverpool's 'hacking' of our computer systems

Sheikh Mansour must have been told about the hacking..

The £1mill sign off must have been accepted and approved by Sheikh Mansour via Khaldoon.

The more you detach yourself from City, and the more you think about it, the more you think something fishy has gone on for City to accept a £1mill pay off from Liverpool to stay silent.

Refer it to the National Crime Agency; yes you can argue we should have but I think you are wrong in your assertion above.

The real question is why didn’t we do that at the time. The club clearly felt the outcome that did happen was acceptable, so as far as I’m concerned, that’s the end of the matter.

I’d absolutely personally want to know why the club was happy with it and the full circumstances but I highly doubt we ever will. This does happen a lot more often than people think too. My own company has had it a few times and some we’ve settled, some we’ve taken further.

I know people want to think the owners run the club on our behalf, but ultimately they don’t. They’ve no obligation to tell us and given they signed a confidentiality agreement, they clearly didn’t want it public either (or were happy with however much Liverpool paid to keep it private).

I just don’t see it as something to be overly concerned or angry about, particularly as we were clearly ok with the outcome at the time.

I am hoping that @PB is right and City are going after Liverpool following the hacking and the FA's decision to do nothing.

Surely our owners cannot keep just taking the shit that is thrown at us from all quarters and do nothing ?

I wouldn't have thought so myself.
Khaldoon is there to make the big decisions.
Mansour is too busy and powerful to be haggling over a million quid.
He has hundreds of other companies - most of which are more profitable (so more important) than we are

We have a major rival who are an absolute pain in the arse, they wine, they moan, they’ve been getting preferential treatment for years (ask Portsmouth fans who had their European place stolen by the Dippers), they re-write history, they are media darlings and they have an ingrained culture of cheating. We had a potential opportunity to nail them - nail them once and for all and we seem to have declined the opportunity. Sure we mishandling and took a settlement but why not destroy them in the criminal courts? It’s mystifying.

Were going to buy Fenway sports group and shut the bastard down.

Donate Anfield to Everton to redevelop as their original home.

We don't have much influence in the corridors of power.

My response to all this if I was Sheikh Mansour would be to make Man City stronger and win the long game. Start with that North Stand expansion. Raise the bar all round.
Ground increase iffy whilst we struggle to fill all games although I think it will lift our gates overall. Would like to see the club push for a standing section across one end even it's just one tier. North Stand is the obvious end as its closest to City square and bars etc.
