Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

It is actually sickening reading Liverpool sycophants in MSM continuously regurgitate the same mantra " This season must be fulfilled at all costs " even at the expense of the next season.

There are hundreds of people dying globally right now.

WHO is saying this pandemic is only just getting warmed up

Yet all these morally bankrupt journalists can think of is a game of fucking Football.

These Scouse Fuckers would clamber over dead Bodies to get the Title

Horrible,repulsive Club,with a classless fan base.

The Season should be declared Null and Void.

It is the only option.

Yet still they collude, and conspire, whilst People are dying.

The red scouse have a history of people dying when attending their games. Their current owners appear to put money above everything. Not all of their supporters feel the same but there is a cult of victimisation fuelled by the media that bears comparison with the exploitation by certain rags over the 1958 Munich disaster which I do remember at the time.

Liverpool FC is in no position to take any moral high ground nor to claim to be champions in an unfinished, curtailed season already tainted by PIGMOL and VAR in this Premier League season. Whilst City winning the Carabao Cup is valid because it was completed under its conditions, other knockout competitions could be considered valid if finished even if deferred but not leagues. Leagues are based on teams competing on equal terms for a fixed number of games. Where there are fundamental changes to this principle to leagues to suit a few with legal implications at all levels of the pyramid structure throughout the game down to amateur level.

The nonsense about finishing the season behind closed doors is both against the conditions of the competition, changes in circumstances of clubs to compete on the basis they started and would invite legal challenges about human life against profit. The only option for football is to restart from scratch when it is safe to do so.

The PFA has called for an urgent meeting with both the Premier League and EFL to discuss the impact that the COVID-19 crisis is having on the finances of both clubs and players.

@PFA

A plan to make 100,000 free tickets available to NHS workers across professional football as a ‘thank you’ for fighting coronavirus has been met with a surprisingly 'lukewarm' response from some Premier League clubs.

“Isolation Camps”

Just let that phrase sink in...

Good grief.

Oh yes. Like they aren't worried sick about family and kids like everyone else. Let's stick them all in camps separated from their loved ones during the biggest crisis since the second world war. After the required period when no one has tested positive let's get them playing games in empty stadiums so her beloved Liverpool can win the league. Of course if any of the players families contact the disease while they are in the camps they won't be allowed to leave. Oh no, the show must go on! The mind boggles and it is a little frightening such individuals exist. They really are a cult.

I know, I was struck by that. Who's Melissa Reddy, by the way, when she's at home?

Reddy was born in August 1986, in South Africa. ... Despite growing up in South Africa & her family being divided between Manchester United and Tottenham, Reddy has always been a Liverpool FC fan, with her love for football finally leading her to move to the United Kingdom in 2014.

Premier League players expect to be asked to wait for their pay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a worry about the impact of a lack of gate receipts and loss of TV revenue, with several clubs discussing asking players to defer their pay for three months
