Hi all

can anyone recommend some really good podcasts ?

I like sports, people with crazy stories to tell, business leaders etc

I’ve listened to a few of Joe Rogans with Elon Musk, Bernie Sanders, Dan Bilzerian etc and enjoyed but need new content.

thanks.

Jake Humphries High Performance Podcast is good for sports people

I like Steven Bartlett’s ‘Diary of a CEO’ for more business people

Really depends what you’re into obviously but two I like are the Guardian Audio long reads which is basically someone reading out an article from their ‘long reads’ section, generally 30-40 minutes telling an unusual story. I pick and choose which ones I listen to. Interesting recent example: Brazilian Butt Lift: behind the worlds most dangerous cosmetic surgery. Another podcast i liked was Blowback, a 10 part history of the Iraq war

This ticks all your boxes mate and it is hilarious

I like crime mainly and movies and stuff. Shatthemovies is a great podcast, providing you've seen the film they're dissecting. But this is the only podcast episode I've listened to more than once.. really entertaining

RHLSTP is always a good listen, there's been a few standout episodes for various resasons but just find a guest you enjoy.

Timesuck Podcast with Dan Cummins
Dan Cummins takes you on a weekly deep dive, thoroughly exploring and explaining a single, listener-suggested topic each Monday, in his own irreverent and entertaining style. Serial killers, historical events, enduring mysteries, paranormal encounters, conspiracy theories, cryptozoology and more - nothing is off limits if it’s interesting. Have some fun and learn something new with Timesuck each and every week!

Anything goes with James English. (Notorious criminals who have now seen the error of their ways and turned the lives around)

Atletico Mince (Great for a laugh it’s Bob Mortimer )

Funky Si’s A-Z of Manchester ( Si Wolstencroft’s story of His life in Manchester’s bands . Great stories, he was in sane class as Ian Brown and John Squire, has a stint in Stone Roses before they formed and nearly became a Smith and was in the Fall for years )

I really enjoyed That Peter Crouch podcast...tbf, i only listened to the first 2 seasons (i think there are 4)

Funny and some good insights into the world of a footballer

No such thing as a fish caught me out with tri-sinking survivor Violet Constance Jessop.

Jessop is best known for having survived the sinking of both RMS Titanic in 1912 and her sister ship HMHS Britannic in 1916, as well as having been aboard the eldest of the three sister ships, RMS Olympic, when it collided with the British warship HMS Hawke in 1911

Cracking podcast from the people behind QI
