just use the canal boats system hahahahaha
Venezia style!
The Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo is definitely a ground to visit on my bucket list.

Should be a cash cow for them....Bullocks coaches are running a bus service tonight
Was looking at this earlier. The tracks run direct to Victoria so it's not insurmountable that a station could be built that would serve the arena and Etihad. So I understand. It's very frustrating that the stadium is surrounded by rail lines and there are no decent stations under 1 mile away.

Failing that lets build a monorail to tunnel under the canal straight to Piccadilly. It's all possible if there was a will.
Won’t be getting anywhere near 8 or 9They'll be some power walking if we score 8 or 9 tonight.
Errr and was the country in lockdown and people asked, nay forced, to stay at home unless they were ESSENTIAL workers. Road maintenance people were not classed as essential I would assume!
You have wholly ignored that the roads were virtually empty for 14 months when road maintenance was possible. So the City Council has to schedule its whole road resurfacing programme around when football matches are on and when they are open for supporters?
If only the City Council had enough cash to undertake all its road projects during the lockdown? It doesn’t work out like that.
In a previous life, I was involved in the maintenance and resurfacing of highways as a Councillor and Committee Chair/Deputy in a large West Midlands Metropolitan Council. I can assure you that once or twice every two weeks football matches will not be a major issue in the scheduling of road maintenance and reconstruction. These will be driven by budgetary considerations and largely as dictated by Central Government.
