The sheer inability as a collective to break down the low block by being too plodding and too slow, thus allowing them to set up 8 to 10 men in the area renders him almost useless.
That doesn't excuse him for the chances that he missed, but its something to think about. We need to be quicker on the breakaway. When he has space to run whether it's chasing a ball or dribbling, he's much better.
As for Alvarez. Why don't we try him on the wing? Gives Foden a spot in the middle where he's much more comfortable and removes Alvarez from that CAM spot where he clearly isn't working?
Regarding the misses, its going to happen every once in a while. The best 200 players to ever play football will have a game that bad every once in a while. And what makes them the best is that they know when they're that bad and how to come back from it. His body language is generally pretty obvious and after the game he looked incredibly pissed off with himself. We have the Derby and the return against Copenhagen coming up. He's scoring at least 3 goals across those 2 games.

You still waffling your tripe? Have a day off. Top scorer in the league and champions league and youre going after him likes hes a two bit nobody. His job is to score goals, hes top scorer in both elite competitions. Move on to hammering someone elseThis is the point. Our level since 20/21 has been the same. Lukaku has a better night, or Rodri plays against Chelsea, or Madrid doesn't have a miracle in the SF and the season tally change. Our goal output in those seasons is also the same as the one with 53 goals Haaland.
Some act like there is a before and after Haaland arrived at City. Everyone deserves criticicism when they have a bad match and in case of Haaland, it has veen an underwhelming season. Because after all he is the highest wage in the league, so he must be hold to those standards.
All his stats are down with respect to last season, especially his xG vs his actual goals. He is way below average right now in that aspect. Of course thanks to his athletiscm and great positioning, he still gets load of goals.
App lost his grandmother this week so his mind was clearly not where it should have been and probably shouldn’t have played but we are so short up front that to have 2 strikers and one of them isn’t even an out an out centre is shocking for a team that wants to win every trophy .

Turned into Ian Ormondroyd. Don’t think we play to his strengths/or him to ours. This, coupled with the fact that Alvarez should be an either or. They can’t play together.
Needs to stop wandering to the back post for crosses. The amount of times yesterday the ball was played near post or centrally and he was nowhere to be seen was amazing.
I get he was to use his height for floated balls to the back post but he needs to mix it up a bit. He always drifts there when we get out wide. I’m sure Henry did a piece on it last season on CBS too, no real variety in his movement when it comes to crosses.
Aguero was a master of getting on the end of cut backs into a general area because of his movement, just something Haaland needs to add to his game rather than relying on a pin point crosses to the back post.

The timing and direction of his headers are awful for such a big unit. Its baffling. Whoever coaches this part of the game at city is not doing his job. Erling aside we hardly ever get our head to a corner, it's a part of our game that needs sorting.
