Similarly, who remembers the cost of building the channel tunnel now?

I’ve been trying to upload a pic I’ve taken today of the Barton Swing Bridge and the Manchester Canal, but it won’t load. With the current mindset, those history changing constructions wouldn’t have happened and Liverpool would have continued to have a strangle hold over Greater Manchester. £1 Bn was invested at today’s rates but the Ship Canal proved a tremendous investment.

The person I spoke to from Sisk last Sunday before I took the pictures said 4 cranes will be erected over the next 6 weeks. He said another crane will be erected after those 4 cranes, but didn’t say a when.
