That's actually hilarious.

A fortnight ago, all the talk was about how the competition has lost its lustre due to the lack of big teams.
Now the (formidable) final eight are settled, it's lost its lustre because it's predictable.

Fuck them. It's fun to watch them suffer. :-)
It’s like watching an orgy from behind a locked door for most of these journalists

If the top teams all making it through to the quarter finals is so newsworthy, it suggests it’s not a very usual occurrence.

You could therefore argue that the unpredictability of the champions league in previous years was predictable, and the predictability of this year’s quarter final line-up involving all the top teams is actually fairly unpredictable.

What I’m trying to say, to avoid any confusion, is that it’s either unpredictably predictable or predictably unpredictable.

Therefore the only thing we can predict with any degree of certainty is that the BBC are a bunch of cunts.

looks like we have ruined something else guys

That article makes zero sense! It uses the stat that 7 of the 9 teams with the highest coefficient made the last 8 but then uses that stat to prove that only the mega rich can make the last 8! United, Liverpool and Spurs feature in the worlds richest 8 clubs, none of them were even close to make making the last 8 of the Champs. League!

when I read it I was surprised it was not the work of Simon Stone

First class, thorough report on the PL/EPL payments spat on tonight's BBC1 Six'o'clock News programme, which left me in no doubt as to just WHO is behind the PL's reluctance to cascade its mountain of moolah down the English football pyramid.

Interviewing former City and FA chairman David Bernstein in front of the Etihad, while also talking over footage of City's players prior to the Liverpool game at the Etihad earlier this season, the (breathless) Dan Roan informed us that 'some Premier League clubs' had voted down the proposal to give greater financial support to the EPL.

Sadly, he didn't mention WHICH clubs were actually in favour of the proposal.

However, I for one am grateful to Dan Roan for this, as ever, fulsome, insightful overview of ALL the issues involved in this impasse between the PL and the EPL.

I look forward to welcoming 'some clubs' to our gaff over the coming months. I shall be giving them a piece of my mind from the terraces, letting them know just how cross I am (I could, literally, rip a tissue..) with them for their selfishness. And further, that I demand they mend their silly ways as soon as possible for the benefit of the entire English football 'family'..
