Pokrovsk Frontline:

The last few days have brought a sharp escalation. Over Hryshyne, Russian bombers rain down FABs with horrifying regularity - the sky itself seems to collapse in shockwaves.

This isn’t random.

This is a calculated operation to isolate Pokrovsk, cut off Myrnohrad and Rodynske, sever all logistics, split our forces, and force the entire Ukrainian garrison into a killing pocket.

While the bombs fall, their infantry creeps forward.
They’ve dug in near Kozatske and Balahan, and they’ve managed a push northeast of the 5/6 mine slagheap - a critical wedge that could split the town in two, severing the southern flank from our main stronghold.

In Rodynske, street fighting is now raging - especially on the eastern and southeastern blocks. The enemy is throwing everything to take control, and if they succeed… all roads into the city will fall under direct and crossfire control.

That’s the step before encirclement.

Just grinding pressure, wave after wave.

But pressure is how diamonds form.
And fire is how steel is tempered.

They want to close the ring.
We’ll make that ring their grave.

Trump says he will urge Putin to end the war or face the US sending Tomahawks to Ukraine. This comes after all range restrictions were lifted and the US stated it will provide Ukraine with strike intelligence....So in my opinion the orange baboon has stepped back again.​

Its not the same level but WW2 caused a small cooling event due to all the dust in the air.

The territory that Russia has stolen will be in a particularly bad way environmentally, as well as being in a right state in terms of damage.

Good job Russia’s well placed financially to rebuild it all…
 
Wondering what effect today’s events will have on this.

Think Zelensky has played a blinder since that disgraceful episode in the Oval Office, and the reality is that Putin cannot afford to do anything but carry on until forced otherwise, so the only thing that can give is Ukraine being given bigger and better hardware.

I think whatever the merits of Trump’s role in the situation in Gaza, and the questionable timing of it, as a complete narcissist he will be absolutely loving today’s fawning and be craving more of the same.

Think what’s happened today, or rather being reported as happening today, definitely weakens Putin’s hand somewhat and reduces the chances of Trump getting bored and moving on, as he will be craving even more adulation, and not winning the Nobel Peace Prize the other day has probably helped this situation too.

As I understand it, though there is a predicted effect, it's too small to measure, and the biggest effect of WW2 is uncertainty in sea surface measurement, largely due to an ongoing switch from buckets to engine intakes for the numbers.
