Though if you'd told me when I was a lad in the 90s that these would all be the *bad* memories I'd want a pint of what you were drinking.
these are just recent ones, too many to name as a kids in the 90s early 00s

ive tried to block all those out, driving back across the snake pass in the pitch black and driving rain after losing to chesterfield was a particular lowlight.these are just recent ones, too many to name as a kids in the 90s early 00s
And after we played the last 15 like a training match, allowing them to score a couple, Ten Hag had the front to say 'we made a couple of changes at half-time and scored three goals' . Shameless.I remember leaving the Etihad that day being very pissed off for this reason. Could have easily been 10 but Pep took us down a couple of gears.
Not read the thread so maybe there are similar posts, but I’d blocked that game out of my mind. It’s the only time I’ve wanted to kick fuck out of Pep. Had a big family bash that day. BBQ, loads of us at mine in the build up. Me and my mate looked at each other when the team sheet came through and the joy just emptied from us both. Full time everyone fucked off and I sat out with a whiskey and just stared. Horrible.2021 Champions League final
Not only would it have been our first CL win, with Agüero getting a winners’ medal… but it would have also been a treble as we’d won the PL and EFL Cup.
We finished 19 points ahead of Chelsea in the league and I didn’t even rate their team at all. They were a fairly average football team.
The team selection, pretty much every player completely bottled it, we created next to nothing in 90 minutes, Agüero didn’t get proper minutes when we needed a goal… I fell out with City for a while after that, only actually felt better about it when we came back against Villa on the final day of the following season.
I even forgot we'd scored? I do remember that John bloody Barnes tore us apart. We'd outplayed them in the original tie at Maine Road, great goal by Gordon Davies but Lillis missed a pen.Losing 3-1 at home to Watford, FA Cup 4th round, 2nd replay Feb 1986
I know mate, I know and post this with a big sigh of resigned 'what if onlys'...All of the above - but also RM vs City in the Chimps League SF (2015-16) - we'd drawn 0-0 at the Etihad and away goals still counted double - and Pellegrini only went for it in the last few minutes after Bale had put RM ahead - he should have gone all out to score, even if it meant RM had more opportunity to score - we'd have played AM in the final - I know this is a lot of 'ifs' - but with 2019 and 2021 we could have been on three or four Chimps League trophies by now - ahead of the Rags and bathing up with the Dippers!

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."Lincoln 4-1, losing to Stockport all lows aswell :-(
Quality ThreadSo i was watching some highlights last night of us beating the rags and i realised the 6-3 at home really annoyed me as we took our foot of the gas and could easily gone for 10 in that game which i realise is first world problems but it got me thinking what game has annoyed you the most and for what reason, could be a win, loss or a draw.
The other thing that really annoyed me about the 2021 CL final, and bear with me, because it's totally irrational ( and I am a female!!)..All of the above - but also RM vs City in the Chimps League SF (2015-16) - we'd drawn 0-0 at the Etihad and away goals still counted double - and Pellegrini only went for it in the last few minutes after Bale had put RM ahead - he should have gone all out to score, even if it meant RM had more opportunity to score - we'd have played AM in the final - I know this is a lot of 'ifs' - but with 2019 and 2021 we could have been on three or four Chimps League trophies by now - ahead of the Rags and bathing up with the Dippers!
I kid you not, and I've had a lot of serious family illness before and after that day and I'm so fortunate that I've never suffered with my mental health, but summer 2021 for about 4 weeks after that final I was numb with disbelief and disappointment. Not read the thread so maybe there are similar posts, but I’d blocked that game out of my mind. I beat you by 4 mins mate - think the fact that both our bloods are still boiling , and this game made the first page twice shows what a **** he wasGeorge Courtney is a ****. I still often think back to that game and wonder how much on the take he was.
It's the only Champions League Final I've ever seen where so many of the questions in the press conferences before the game were about the referee's terrible decisions against Pep's teams in the past, even going as far back to his days at Barcelona. The pre-match build up leading to final really pi$$ed me off.
There were birthday parties held for players (not really a problem with that) players and staff crowing on about the 6 star facilities (holiday camp), steam yoga sessions (holiday camp 2), even the backroom staff held a mahoosive barbeque the night before the game (Do it after the final).
Meanwhile, Tommy Toucans was seen giving comical impressions of Pep from a balcony and plotting our downfall with his staff on a chess board etc.
Ewood Park in the Cup.
It was a horrible day, we could have won it but looked like we weren't bothered.
