Fixtures Calendar - 2025/26

No, they have 3 home games and 1 away game at Bournemouth a 2 hr journey.
With a 3 day break, then a 4 day break, then a 5 day break between the Bournemouth away game and the Liverpool home game.

We on the other hand have 2 away games (Forest 2hr journey, Sunderland 3hr journey) and 2 home games, spread over 4 days, 3 days, 3 days.

Also between the Sunderland and our home games against Chelsea we won’t actually have 3 days as the Sunderland KO is at 20:00, and the Chelsea KO is at 17:30. Chelsea have a nice 5 day break before the play us!
Not too bad though.

They may find having 3 homes games over Xmas does not go as planned. They will be thinking it's 9 points but the pressure will be on to win them all.

Something we can probably all agree on though is the ridiculous 10 games we play in January!

A quick check shows we played 5 games in September.
Clubs (Rags :-)) not in Europe and out of the cup would have played 3!

Fucking nuts, fuck the match going fans.

It is wrong on so many levels.

The 3 pre Xmas international breaks are a pain in the arse as well. Condenses the fixtures in other parts of the season.

From next season the September and October breaks are being condensed into one longer one which will mean a single three week gap between PL fixtures. The November break is staying as it is now.

Ok, that should free up an extra weekend and a couple of midweek slots.

That's pretty shit
I can remember City playing Sunderland away on New Years’ Eve in 1966. Sunderland was a miserable hole back then. It was a Saturday night and New Years’ Eve and the pubs closed at 10:30. We were attacked by local knuckle-draggers leaving the pub. And City lost 1-0!

Bollocks wife’s birthday, guess she will be spending it on her own.
It's a LC game, will be plenty of spares available.

Take her round the Xmas markets, feed her at either a rip off stall or Maccies and source her a ticket to the game in a different tier to you.

Best of both worlds especially if she misses the bus back from the game ;)

Seeing as we play in the CL on Tues 20th January, that would make it fairly certain that the derby will be on Saturday 17th (12:30 kick off presumably)? There will be 17:30 and 20:00 slots but I can’t imagine GMP would fancy either of those….!

Unlikely to be in the TNT slot.

Suspect 5.30 on Saturday most likely, police don't get a veto anymore, but Friday night and outside bet too.

Zero chance of them allowing a Friday night kick off for this. Should we progress past Brentford, League Cup semi-final would be Tuesday 13th January or Wednesday 14th January

So have they just forgotten about doing the fixtures for the rest of January.

I thought their excuse for the hold up was the boxing day fixtures, why are we now having to wait even longer to find out what time of day the Derby is going to be.

I think they'd delay it as far as they can, possibly till after the FA Cup R3 Draw at the start of December, as that'd decide the fixtures on 10th/11th January.

I'm tempted to agree, but that's TNT's slot. This game will be on Sky.

Just want them to confirm it, as I'm looking to be on a flight at 6pm that evening, but not booking it until the game is confirmed

Sky and TNT swap sometimes, or TNT gets later 8pm Sat night slot instead of the lunchtime one ... so that's not an issue, there is precedence for that (Sky showing 12:30pm game) ... if memory serves me right, they have also altered that 12:30pm to kick-off at 12:00 or 1pm ... so nothing is confirmed till it's confirmed.
