Home games tend to lift the spirits. Away games tend to burst the bubble. Unless the latter changes then it will be more of the same.
Sooner or later Stokenal will have to start scoring more goals from open play. Eventually teams will start to defend their set pieces better and they’ll struggle. Having said that their defense is second to none at the moment so they’ll be hard to beat.It's hard to see Arse keeping this up the entire season but possibly enough to win it. Not writing the scousers off just yet but hopefully they fade away. Chelsea can't win it due to their exertions in the CWC, or that's the reason some were glad of when we went out. As for us, let's keep improving and not repeat the Villa, Spurs performances.
Problem is we can collapse aswell and if the big man gets injured we are cooked and that is why it is so important to get names in the scoresheet and if even start Mamoush over the big man in certain ganes just so we can not be so reliant on Haaland . As did Arsenal I think they are a very good team and will win the title .Any team can collapse: City did it last season and Liverpool did it this season (5 consecutive domestic losses). Arsenal are not immune against a collapse either. Yes, they have a great squad, but so do Liverpool (on paper).
Of course, if Arsenal go 8 pts clear (in case of a draw next Sunday), then they'll be strong favourites. But just like Liverpool lost 4 league games in a row (absolutely nobody expected it), so Arsenal can lose/draw more games than expected. It's a funny old game.

" That season City did it, they had 19 points and Arsenal had 25. The exact same totals as this season. The Gunners ended up finishing fourth."
So history says that from this position winning the league is difficult but not impossible.
This. As an Arsenal fan, I'm not really worried about losing games per se. However, I am worried about drawing a lot of games if our set piece goals dry up as we struggle to create many chances when Odegaard is out and Saka has been playing like he currently has. I'm curious to see how we'll look once Havertz, Odegaard and Jesus come back.Sooner or later Stokenal will have to start scoring more goals from open play. You guys already know how to beat this Arsenal squad. Literally just keep winning your games and keep within touching distance. We still havent seen that Arsenal can retain their composure or hold their nerve. I usually dont pay attention to City before Jan as its usually around DEC/JAN that City turn it on and go on a crazy run.In 20/21, we had 20 pts after 12 games: 5 wins, 5 draws and 2 losses. Few thought we could win the league. Then we clicked.
The start to this season is a bit like the start to 20/21. Let's hope we can click. Admittedly, Arsenal are a much stronger team than any of the rivals back then. 86 pts may not be enough.
If your tongue is firmly in your cheek then I apologise for being so humourless but otherwise this post should be highlighted again and again as perhaps the most stupid comment in a thread full of stupid comments as we progress towards our inevitable finish in the top 3.I actually think we have more chance finishing bottom half than we do winning the league.
We have regressed so badly, especially on the road, that I can’t see us getting even a point away at any of Liverpool, United, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Spurs, Palace and Chelsea.. and can’t even see us beating the likes of Forest, Everton or Sunderland on the road.
That means we need to pick a lot of points up at home to even compete for European places. We haven’t beaten Arsenal or Liverpool at home since the treble season so can’t see that changing.
Going to be a very tough season resulting in rebuilding again after our first failed attempt at a rebuild.
Is this a parody account ?Except that Arsenal have - by far - the best depth. And in spite of key injuries to multiple positions - keep grinding on.
Arsenal are rock solid on defense. By far, the best in the P/L. On top of this, they play a ball control system which simply grinds the opposition down. And in spite of their current poor ability to score from open play - I think that this will improve - they find a way to win - set plays mostly.
IMO - Arsenal will coast to victory - winning the P/L in record fashion - earliest side to win the title with games to play.
No you?Is this a parody account ?
Faux outrage from a questionable blue who writes, seemingly without irony, that this bang average Arsenal side will outdo the truly great City side of 17/18 and win the title in record time.No you?
FFS... this is a thread about whether or not we'll win the league. Your post is:
1) Content free;
2) Insulting;
3) And either you're simply farming for likes - or are a City fan-boy no matter what.
Do you know what the earliest the PL has been won by, games wise? I have no idea.Except that Arsenal have - by far - the best depth. And in spite of key injuries to multiple positions - keep grinding on.

This post is so ridiculously stupid that I'm at a loss to posit a cogent reply. But here goes:Faux outrage from a questionable blue who writes, seemingly without irony, that this bang average Arsenal side will outdo the truly great City side of 17/18 and win the title in record time.
How long have you been into football pal ? They play 38 games for a reason. Are you familiar with for example the Newcastle team of 1996 or the rags in 1985 who set off like a house on fire before things righted themselves as they invariably tend to.
Apologies for having a City bias on a City fan forum
According to Google...Do you know what the earliest the PL has been won by, games wise? I have no idea.
