Media discussion - 2025/26

It's always ominous, or worrying, or threatening when City start winning.

Any other club and it's promising or turned a corner.

Our sports media is run by man babies

I don't know what Murphy means, the scouse weren't beaten by Scunthorpe at home but City we can do it to any team on any given day.

I like that they use the term ominous. Hope other teams are starting to fear us again. We lost that last year. I think it’s reminiscent of the emperor in Star Wars telling Luke he’s mistaken and that the Death Star is fully operational. I can see Khaldoon cackling and lightening shooting out of his fingers as he says it. Just hope we don’t blow up now in similar fashion.

Agree.
City will never be the media's favourite club, for several reasons.
"Ominous" suggests an inevitable threat ?
I'm sure Arsenal, Arteta and their fans will have started shuddering, sweating and touching cloth...

Don’t think those bastions of impartiality at the BBC took it too well yesterday did they? They were showing replays of John Stone’s goal against Wolves last season when Slot was being interviewed having a moan about it.

Then they got Murphy and Rooney to say it was a goal in the studio afterwards.

Fuck em let them fume about it, Dias had a perfectly good goal ruled out two years ago. Milner should have walked at Anfield but didn’t, not to mention Alexander Arnold playing basketball in front of the Kop. Karma is a bitch, suck it up lah.
Total bias. It would not be applied for other clubs. Robertson ducked to allow the ball to go into the net while in an offside position. That would have been offside in any decade. Murphy and Rooney don’t know the rules.
