10 years ago today City 1 Liverpool 4

I remember our team sheet coming out and saying immediately that there is no way we can win this game. It’s was obvious we would struggle - talk about an end of a cycle!
 
Was that the game we brought the Swiss player, Fernandes? on as a left winger, if it is I had nearly managed to erase it from my memory. Thanks for nothing;-)
 
The game it felt like Yaya’s legs were going.

Only 18 months earlier, there wasn’t a better midfielder in world football but, at 32 and being such a big bloke in a little blokes’ sport, his legs were starting to struggle with that level of football.

Agüero scored the goal of the game, which was the only good thing that happened for us all game.
 
Seem to remember that three out of four defenders were Sagna, Mangala and Demichelis. Nothing wrong with Demichelis, he helped us a lot in 2014, but this was a horror show. Also probably when I felt that the Dippers were there to stay for some time. But we really can’t complain about what happened afterwards.

My memory and time of life make years turn into months or so it seems as everything moves quicker, except me. Think Benitez was livarpools manager the game I'm thinking about and it could have been 0-4. You can correct me if I'm wrong;-)

I think you are thinking of 2008, it was 2-3, but we were 2 nil up at half time.
