Agreed. They were taking the piss. All they were interested in was the money; long term stability wasn't in their plans. I seem to remember Palace also having a period as a yoyo club as well. Though they're now established as a PL club.
 
Boro are very close to appointing Hammarby coach Kim Hellberg. He turned down an offer from Swansea.

Should be good for Sverre with scandi connection and the fact that Hellberg’s tactics are attacking and possession based.

Philipe Clement being heavily linked with job. Got a raw deal at Ibrox but still a decent manager.

Really top appointment for Norwich. Very surprised he’s taken that job but obviously been convinced by the owners that there is ambition there.

Very likeable guy who was dealt a shitty hand at Ibrox with the goings on behind the scene so hopefully things work out for him

Interesting to hear Chris Suttons views ( never thought I’d be writing that) on the appointment

He had a good team at Genk and should be okay if fans are patient. Sutton tends to be a bit more level-headed when discussing Norwich City; I guess he doesn’t have to be as inflammatory or feel the need to wind people up.

Save for the defeat in the East Anglian derby (3-1) and the loss to Hull City (0-2), Norwich have generally contested most games, losing by the odd goal. However, they have paid the price for squandering chances and then tiring and so being more open late in games. Clement should have enough wherewithal to keep them up, but I agree with Sutton that he’ll have to ruffle feathers. Any team’s players that have allowed themselves to slip cannot complain about a bit of abrasion.
