We need to find a way to get the best out of this guy. He's just a better player than the one we're seeing in a City shirt. I think it's just 'Premier League adjustment shock' or whatever you want to call it. But we sort of need him to find his feet fast with Rodri and Kovacic both having fitness concerns. I don't know what the solution is with him? Just play him through it and hope he improves?

I think we need an extra body in the midfield in January, someone who can run and tackle with a bit of a nasty streak. Will take the pressure off a few of our midfielders and give them the platform to perform.

No I wasn’t giving it Doku but riddle me this. How do we improve a 27 year old that can’t win duels to save his life, nor can he create or score goals on a consistent basis? Also, He’s in his prime, he’s not 23 or 22 like some of our wingers and he has shown no defining attributes of his game.
We bought him to hit the ground running and we’ve not even seen anything that he is remotely decent at in any competitive match since Wolves away.

It's fitting that Wolves has been his only good performance this season because that's the only PL side that he would start for at the moment, I'm not giving up on him this early but fuck me he's gotta pick it up quickly.
 
Is still adapting to us, but that was abject from him tonight.

Still hopeful that Mr Whippy 2 might emerge from him, but he’s nowhere near that yet.
 
He looks brilliant in pre-season and against Wolves but seems to get worse and worse with each passing game.

Should be on 7 or 8 goals by now but he can't hit a barn door.
 
The scary thing is I think our recruitment team signed him as the solution to our number 8 "problem" when he is clearly a (not very good) 10, a position we are stacked in
 
Woof. Really struggling right now, and looks so lightweight. Too many of the new players aren’t hitting stride
 
He is terrible. Absolutely terrible. Has nothing about him. Everything he does, he does wrong. He’s either invisible or a complete fuck up. I think I prefer it when he’s invisible. Another in a growing list of poor buys and a complete waste of money.

Exactly. He can't play as a number 8 because he simply doesn't have the skill or determination. Where on earth does he fit in (I'd apply the same to Marmoush).
