Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

Sorry I should have said the last 2 seasons. Last team to score more than 2 goals against us was Luton. And only 1 team has more than 1 XG in a game vs us this season (Rags away).

It's comedy though that people are calling out Arsenal for 'only' drawing away at the team that was 2nd in the league as if that's a terrible result. It's a much worse result for Chelsea than it is us, it was clear our backup centre backs were nervous (1st league game they've played together).

I read some comments on the 'will we win the league this season' thread that Arsenal's week of games vs Spuds, Bayern and Chelsea could see them unravel. Well since then they've increased the gap on City from 4 points to 5, Dippers from 8 points to 9 and kept Chelsea at 6 points behind. So taking a wider view it's been a pretty good 7 days.
 
Cost me £100+ from a £2.50 bet. Negative bastards!
They will draw plenty, if we can hang on in there, we could do it

We were at the opposite end low down and had a great view of that pass-shot from behind De Bruyne, and the whole end just erupting. The epitome of world class.

I quite like you, pal. I don't know why you're here sometimes, but I respect you as a poster and wanting to stick up for your team. But this comes across as more rattled than I suspect you intended it to.

This guy just doesn’t get it does he? Im not sure how we can make it any more clear to you.

Yes a point away at Stamford Bridge in isolation isn’t a poor result. However looking at the greater context you played against 10 men for over an hour and any team with title aspirations should be taking advantage of that situation. You were presented an open goal and you failed to take advantage of it.

So no drawing away at the team coming 2nd isn’t a poor result. Drawing away with a team down to 10 men for over an hour is though.

It’s also a result that has left the door open for both City & Chelsea and heck even Liverpool gained 2 points on you and have a set of favourable fixtures coming up. If it becomes tight at the top towards the end of the season you’re done.

Yep, great week for you. You've definitely got the strongest squad this year, and even with the excitable Arteta, I expect you to see it through this time around.
 
Personally I think Arsenal will probably win the league on the fact they are difficult to beat. I think we will probably lose another 3-5 games this season, Liverpool will lose at least another 3-5 and Chelsea also. I can only see Arsenal losing 2-4 at most. But fuck me they look awful to watch, we get accused over the years of being boring, which we could be depending on the opponents 11 players sat in the box, but we at least we were probably guilty of playing too perfect to break teams down. I watched yesterdays game and there was fuck all there, at least Chelsea shown some spark. Over the years city have played the best ever football I have seen and scored beautiful goals that only certain teams in history could score. Liverpool played a brand of football that was relentless with klopp. This Arsenal team are horrible to watch, but they will likely win it but only because city and Liverpool are not as strong, nothing else more.

They should piss it but you know what happens once the wobbles kick in ..............i think they need gap come March time if its down to 5 points then dont be decked if they bottle it again.

The best way to rid the scars is to win things mate, not shit your knickers when the Easter bunny comes into sight
 
For people that know football better than I do. Is Declan Rice better than the likes of Casimiro & Kante when they were at their peaks?

Also why won’t his playing level drop off significantly like theirs did when they reached the age of 30? Rice is almost 27
